Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor their memory and the extraordinary courage, compassion, and unity shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

May we never forget those we lost, those who served, and the strength we found in standing together as one community.

TODAY, AUGUST 31, is the LAST DAY to pre-register your vehicle for the 28th Annual Summer Stampede Car Show! 🚗💨🔥

Get ready to cruise into Mayfair Park on Saturday, September 19 from 9 AM–2 PM for one of Lakewood’s favorite community traditions!

🏁 Approximately 200 incredible vehicles
🎶 Live entertainment by The Retros
🍔 Food trucks
🛍️ Local businesses & community vendors
🎈 Kids’ Zone with inflatables
🏎️ Pinewood Derby
🏆 Car Show Awards
🎉 And plenty of fun for the whole family!

This is a FREE community event organized by the Rotary Club of Lakewood and Lakewood Family YMCA, in partnership with the City of Lakewood.

Today, we celebrate the incredible lifeguards who help make the Lakewood Family YMCA a safe place for everyone to learn, grow, and have fun in the water.

Our lifeguards are more than just watchful eyes on the pool, they’re teachers, mentors, first responders, and role models. Whether they’re teaching a child to swim, responding in an emergency, or ensuring every member has a safe and enjoyable experience, they make a difference every single day.

To our amazing lifeguard team: thank you for your dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving our community. We are grateful for all that you do and proud to have you as part of the YMCA family! 💙
