Often, we see teens walk into the gym a little unsure, maybe a bit nervous, not knowing what to expect. And within weeks? They're lifting with purpose, making new friends, laughing between sets, and walking out a little taller than when they came in. That glow-up is everything.

Teen life can be overwhelming—between school, sports, and social media, it's a lot. That’s why I love programs like our Teen Summer Lift Program at Good Fit + Fit Fight. It gives kids (ages 12-16) a chance to step into a supportive, empowering environment where it’s okay to be a beginner, where growth is praised just as much as reps.

Whether they’re just getting started with teen strength training, looking for a productive summer outlet, or wanting to level up for their sport—this program checks all the boxes:

You can’t wait for motivation. You have to train for momentum.

Years ago, I had a client who started personal training with one goal: weight loss. They were fed up, overwhelmed, and stuck in a cycle of trying every "quick fix" out there. But what clicked for them—and honestly, what shifted my entire approach to fitness—wasn’t the perfect workout plan or the newest gym gadget.

It was the mindset shift toward sustainability, structure, and smart progression—especially when they weren’t feeling motivated.

That meant focusing not just on fat loss, but also recovery, injury prevention, and building a balanced fitness lifestyle—one they could actually maintain.

Since then, I’ve designed every private training plan with that philosophy in mind.

So here’s what I tell every client now:
