The founding principle of the LunaChicks Fastpitch softball organization is to provide an environment and the opportunity for the daughters of our community to consistently train to be champions today and leaders in the community tomorrow through:

Implementation of active NCAA softball coach’s developmental programs
- Individual goal-oriented skill training
- Consistent principles and strategy across all age groups
- Dedicated access to indoor hitting and pitching facilities
- Personal player development and continued education
- Balanced tournament play for team competitiveness and individual player show case
It is our belief that “practice makes permanent, not perfect” so it is critical that the player is practicing properly at all times and avoids reinforcing bad habits. To support this, LunaChicks Fastpitch has teamed with current NCAA softball coaches to create a philosophy for player development which includes structured practice routines applied across all age groups that implement proper repetitive fundamental skill building, strength/conditioning training, and continual education to instill understanding of how the game is played. We believe that consistent participation in this process will yield skilled, confident, proud, and successful young women that positively contribute to their teams’, their communities’, and ultimately their individual success. This allows us to interact more with the individuals so that we can properly gauge their attitude and effort along with their skill set on the field. We welcome all skill levels, positions, and experience levels to try out. We are now open to scheduling tryouts for the 12u (’05 and ’06) and 14u (’03 and ’04) Fall season programs. We are looking for committed players and parents that want to be consistently developed to the highest level of play. They will be developed into complete players and put in the best position possible to achieve their goals and ultimately showcase their skills in front of college coaches if that is their intent. We aren't looking for players for a single game or a single tournament. We want to build a team around a core group of players that will be together, develop a bond, and become a dominating force.
