Shotokan Karate of Lakeville A community that has been instructing traditional Shotokan Karate in Lakeville, MN for 35 years. Uniform is optional for the first session.

A Karate community that is passionate about passing along skills that will improve one’s self confidence, concentration, physical endurance and flexibility. We invite you, your child, or both to come join our group where the development of character is as important as the ability of each member to be able to protect themselves. Regardless of one’s physical abilities, each individual determines the

ir level of participation, from weekly classes to monthly organization training or local and national tournaments. It’s not what you wear that makes you a karateka, but the time and effort you put towards achieving your goals. The Lakeville Club began in 1987 and continues today as group of members committed to sharing the teachings of Gichin Funakoshi. Shotokan Karate of Lakeville is a member of the United Karate Association International.

Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to the tournament on Saturday! We are incredibly grateful for all of the competitors, officials, volunteers, and supporters who helped make the event such a wonderful gathering of karateka.

Your hard work, dedication, and spirit are what make events like this so special. It was inspiring to see the skill, sportsmanship, and camaraderie on display throughout the day.

We truly appreciate each and every one of you and look forward to seeing you at the next event!

Remember there is NO CLASS tonight 8/12. Also, class this Thursday, August 14, will be held at Lakeville South High School in the performance gym. Please enter Lakeville South High School through the main building doors then go through the commons/cafeteria area and take a left down the activity hallway. The performance gym will be on your right. It is the gym with the walking track above it. Classes from August 19-28 will be held back in Gym 3 at McGuire Middle School.

Dojo night out! We spent a couple of hours at Big Air Burnsville, a new indoor trampoline and amusement park. We had 30 of us jumping and participating in all the different activities.
