With summer in full swing, we wanted to take a moment to introduce the NEW coaches for our South Boys Soccer Team.

We are excited to welcome our new coaches and look forward to the upcoming season. They have been working hard behind the scenes to prepare for summer camp and the start of the fall season. We can't wait to see the positive impact they will have on our players and community.

A huge congrats to Lakeville South alum, #90 Loïc Mesanvi on a successful pro season with MNUFC2, advancing all the way to the MLS Next Pro Western Conference Finals!

Loïc was a large contributor during the regular season:
✅ 1541 game minutes
✅ Started in 19 games
✅ Scored 4 goals

He also started and played full game minutes in all 3 playoff games for MNUFC2. Great job!!!

Whatever happens tonight, this team will always be one for the record books.

✨Nothing but Pride for this team.✨ This group is truly something special. Even though we came up short, what a battle these boys gave. You played with heart, grit, and love for one another every step of the way. We saw it both on and off the field. The season may have come to end, but the memories and bonds will last far longer.

Thank you, Cougar fans, for coming out to support these players. A huge thank you to Coach Fenton, Coach Lehman, Coach Hill, and our seniors for leading this team through an incredible season!

✨SENIOR SPOTLIGHT✨

It’s October and we have one of our last seniors to celebrate. Our 13th Class of 2026 senior, #3, Charlie
Thompson!

This is Charlie’s 4th year on the Cougar Boys Soccer Team and has been playing soccer for 12 years. One of Charlie’s favorite memories are the bus rides for away games. The advice he would give to younger players is you need to be smart and technical, know where to move the ball in and out of pressure and know where to move off the ball. Work on your technique; first touch, shooting and passing. It doesn’t matter how good you are, always improve your technique. Finally, just have fun. High school is supposed to be fun.

The way Charlie prepares for a game is deep breaths and no music during warm ups.

His favorite thing about being a senior is having postsecondary enrollment options.

After high school he plans on making money and travel.

✨SENIOR SPOTLIGHT✨

It’s Thursday so let’s celebrate our next Class of 2026 Senior, #38, Sonny Hanks!

This is Sonny’s 4th year on the Cougar Boys Soccer Team and has been playing soccer for 6 years. One of Sonny’s favorite memories is being a captain and the bus rides with the team. The advice he would give to younger players is always play no matter what team you’re on or if you run out of passion because you’ll always find it back. ❤️❤️

The way Sonny prepares for a game is to listen to music.

His favorite thing about being a senior is being able to help out the younger guys with anything. After high school, Sonny is going to cut hair.
