Tonight, following a meddling performance at Okayama, Scuderia Bus heads to Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps to kick some Belgian ass and steal the waffles. Tonight's race is the feature event of the NASA Penguin R/C Sportscar Series, a two hour endurance event as opposed to the typical forty minute feature races.

As always, Daniel Suponski will be piloting the number 51 Scuderia Bus Porsche, alongside Brian C Smith in the number 54. Tune in tonight at https://www.youtube.com/asntvusa at 8:45 to catch the green flag and root on the boys in the Yellow Plaid!

How it started vs how it finished…

P5 for Scuderia Bus in the Offical 12 Hours of Sebring!

In split 21 of 31 with a SOF of 1725 (Daniel was 1450 and Brian was 1275 entering the event).
It was going to be a battle all day for just two drivers against tough competition with a lot of teams having 3 or more drivers, keeping them fresher in the event.

Lap one was filled with chaos and a couple potentially event ending incidents that were missed by Daniel and kept the Bus moving up the standings.

Brian was solid as always and throughout the day just kept it on the pavement and out of incidents as others had issues, picking up pace through the day and running his best lap on lap 260 of the event.

During one pit stop before the halfway mark there was an iracing issue on a pit stop didn’t refuel the car that left Daniel with .7 of a lap of fuel left to make it back out and around to the pits costing the team some time that they would make back up from pace and being clean,

On lap 364 coming off the last corner passing a couple GT3’s one of them wasn’t paying attention and slammed the right side of the LMP2 forcing Daniel into the front stretch wall, a hit that should have ended the run for the team but somehow was able to keep going with minimal damage to the car…

The team had a chance for 4th on the last lap as 4th stumbled and Daniel got by coming out of the final corner to take the white but ran a bit wide in 1 as the other driver forced it inside and a spirited battled would take place over the final lap, with Daniel being forced off out of a right hander and having to settle for a solid top 5 finish for the duo!

Overall probably the teams best Endurance performance to date rivaling the 2021 Daytona Rolex 24 P4 finish!

Just over halfway through the 12 Hours of Sebring, Brian C Smith has piloted the SBLD LMP2 to 8th place overall over the past three fuel runs. Daniel is scheduled to return to the cockpit following the end of this current fuel run.

That’s a wrap!
P13 & P14 for Daniel Suponski & Brian C Smith in the feature at Twin Ring Motegi.

First time at the track for both drivers in GT3 cars managed to bring the cars home clean and with respectable finishes, and nearly identical best laps and pace.

Next Thursday it’s onto the Okayama International Circuit for the Plaid Crew Chief's Corner Porsches!

After more than a year of iRacing special events and official races, Scuderia Bus has taken the plunge into their first sportscar sim racing league, with action coming your way tonight!

We will have four entries, two of which will be full-time, in the AM class of the North American Simulated AutoRacing (NASA) Penquin R/C Sports Car Challenge presented by Nitro Circus.

The first event of the 2022 season begins at 8:30 Eastern tonight with a fifteen minute sprint race at Road America.

Following the sprint race is tonight's feature event, a 45 minute endurance race also at Road America.

Carrying the Scuderia Bus signature yellow plaid livery tonight will be as follows

Daniel Suponski in the #51 Porsche GT3 R

Brian Smith in the #54 Porsche GT3 R
