How do you build confidence in a child?

Not so popular answer..... Struggle and perseverance. 📈

Provide them with an environment to struggle, fail, and through mentorship succeed.

This recipe is not easy, in fact, it's very hard.

Just like real life.

Even though it's difficult to see our kids struggle, it's a necessity for good parents to prepare them for everything life throws at them.

To all the parents out there doing their best to help build their kid's confidence, we see you.

What's the world's one true fairness?



It's time. We all have the same amount of time on any given day.

One thing we noticed through all of our interactions with families over the years is that the parents that set aside time to be present with their kids, have kids that tend to thrive more as students. (and adults) 😎

Even if it's just a few minutes a day, it makes a huge impact on the little ones.

So we ask you this.

Are you going to be present with your kids today?

Why do kids quit?

Short answer....

They don't. 😎

Someone in their lives allows them to.

Quitting is a learned habit and once it's condoned, it sticks.

Martial arts teaches to follow through with a commitment, no matter how challenging it can be.

Martial arts also supports parents in this process as well. Sometimes the hard pill to swallow as a parent is that many things we learn in life get passed down to our kids because they absorb everything we do.

Sometimes all you need to do to help your kids reach their next level of growth is unlearn a few habits by having a coach in your corner who's there to support you. 😉

Is it okay to be afraid?

Of course!

Fear is a totally natural emotion to experience.

The important part is what we do when we run into that emotion.

Do we run? Do we hide? Or.... do we turn and face it?

Martial arts teaches us all three of these by the way. 😜

Sometimes it's better to walk away from a fight. 🎯
Sometimes we may need to hide for our own safety. 🎯
Sometimes we need to turn and face that bully. 🎯

The key is to practice when is the proper time to do any of these while in a safe well-managed environment.
