More Than a Lesson
For 28 years, families have brought their kids to Blacktail to learn how to ski and snowboard.
Some arrived nervous.
Some arrived determined.
Some couldn’t wait to get on the hill.
And somewhere along the way, something bigger happened.
Kids found instructors who believed in them. Parents watched from the sidelines as confidence grew. Friends became ski buddies. And generations of skiers and riders learned not just how to move around this mountain, but how to be part of it.
That’s what makes ski school at Blacktail special to us.
Our instructors aren’t just teaching turns. They’re passing along something they learned from someone else—a love for the mountain, a willingness to help, and the confidence to try something a little outside your comfort zone.
That’s the Blacktail Way.
It’s personal. It’s welcoming. And it’s built on the idea that we’re all here to help each other get better.
So when we see a new family standing at the top of the beginner area, we don’t just see a first lesson.
I see the beginning of a story that might last a lifetime.
And maybe, years from now, we’ll see them bringing their own kids back to Blacktail.
