6/6 race recap

Jackson is finding his groove in the Jr. Sprint! That, along with some luck and a new motor to replace the tired one he was running seemed to point him in the right direction. He went 2nd to 3rd in his heat then drew a 6 for his starting position in the main. Those kiddos were all great, I don’t think we had a single caution during the main. Jackson managed to make his way up, was doing a great job maneuvering with lap traffic and ended up finishing 3rd for his first Jr. Sprint podium finish!

Getting prepped for tonight’s races and realized we never recapped the last race on Sunday 5/24

Jackson tried some new techniques that are showing a lot of promise. He started and finished his heat last but in the main, started 11th and finished 7th. We realized when we pulled off the track that when another kiddo got into him on his front left side halfway through the race, it popped his tire and he finished the second half on a flat. Jackson was especially amused by that.

Getting prepped for tonight’s races!

Jackson is still learning this new car but is trying new things each race and has picked up a little speed. He finished 4th in his heat and 9th in the main. He’s ready to get back out tonight and try a few new things!

5/9 race recap (way late, sorry).

Jackson is still learning the new class, in the heat he started 4th and finished 5th, started last (10th) in the main and finished 8th. He was trying something new and unfortunately, just didn’t pan out, but super glad he’s out there trying!!

He also got his trophy from the previous race in the Masters class so very excited to add that to his shelf!

4/11 RACE RECAP!
What a night!!

In the Jr. Sprint, Dad made some changes and Jackson is still getting a feel for this car. He was a little behind the pack in the heat but picked it up and started getting more comfortable in the main and managed to keep up with the other newer drivers in that class.

Our major excitement was the Masters Mini Dwarf. Jackson started last in the heat but ended up with a 3rd place finish. He had a very lucky pill draw and started on the pole! Jackson managed to lead I believe every lap of that race. He had some lap traffic to navigate and had another super fast driver right behind him most of the race but managed to make smart moves, not make mistakes, and finished with his first Masters Mini Dwarf main event win!!!

Mom and Dad couldn’t be prouder, mom was crying, dad was cheering louder than ever. The plan is to move completely over to the Junior Sprint and we couldn’t think of a better way to wrap up Jackson’s time in the Mini Dwarf.

Attention Barona Jr. Sprint and Mini Dwarf Parents!

One of Jackson's sponsors (R2HD Wayne Miller Mobile Tire) has generously donated to him a bunch of used golf cart rims. They are steel, 8" × 7" wide, 4 on 4" lug pattern with centered back spacing. Perfectly legal for mini dwarf and jr. Sprint cars. Comparable to what BMI sells for $25 plus shipping. Jackson is selling them for $5 each!!! Every rim will come with a TR412 ATV style rubber valve stem installed. We are located in Lakeside for local pickup or we can haul up to Barona during upcoming races if arranged. We can mount up your tires, local pickup only, for an additional small donation. All proceeds will go towards Jackson's racing program.
