π A Tribute to My Friend Peter Drakos π
I wanted to take a moment to honor my dear friend Peter, whom I met through our friend Sherene almost 11/12 years ago during our first zip-lining event for Moving Forward Adaptive Sports. From the very beginning, Peter was nothing short of enigmatic.
Even on his bad days, he always made sure to check in on those around him, shining like a bright star on a dark night. Being in his presence made me feel like I could be a better person, and he was the kind of friend you want to keep in your life for a lifetime.
Peter treated my daughter with so much love (he did the two a too, he just had a lot more history with E.), always bringing her candy, treats, or little gifts whenever we saw him. He was always trying to take us out to dinner, and I often hesitated, but Iβll never forget the last time he insisted, saying, βYou better let me!β I remember looking at him, surprised by his sternness, realizing how much he genuinely cared.
I have hundreds of pictures of our memories together, but hereβs just a glimpse of the joy he brought into our lives. Iβve been waiting to share this until Sherene did a memorial post, and I want to thank her for introducing me to such an amazing person.
Peter, you will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for being a bright light in our lives. πβ¨
