New idea from : When you only have 3 people, small field, no walls or boards, you play 1v1v1. Rules: The person with possession is your opponent. If you gain possession, the goal farthest from you is your goal. When one of you scores, the person who had the ball least recently knocks in. Seems fair, right? (I know there are flaws but I was trying to keep it simple, yet more interesting than stick n ball, but less competitive than 2v1) Everyone stays involved, rotating so no one is outnumbered and no horse needs to work too hard covering two players. What do you think, ? ? Any other ideas when it's 3 people but you don't want to play v? Post them in the comments!
It was a pleasure to have David out to our new club. He moved too far from his other home club to get there regularly so we were happy to have him!

The lawnmowers are on the move. We let them wander around to help tidy up the barnyard. They're not very efficient, but they're cuter and quieter than normal mowers.

P. S. We had our first OPC lesson today! It's so cool to have our own club with an indoor arena.

I felt an overwhelming urge to roach their manes.

These turkeys decided to stand outside in the rain under a tree instead of using a shelter that would fit all of them. So we had to fix up the little indoor arena, which was a good idea so they could get used to the sounds and echos and shadows of the arena. Zoom was particularly on high alert, and Eowyn, and startled several times at the echos of our laughter, higher pitched voices, thuds against the wall, clapping etc. So it was a good way for them to learn to get comfortable in that smaller enclosed space where they will have to work soon.

Day 6: We are just going to forget about Wednesday, which was supposed to be our last day on the road. We are going to forget because green handle did not mean diesel at the BP station and I ended up with gas in the diesel tank. if I had turned on the engine, would have destroyed it... Luckily I was able to get some mechanics to siphon out the mixed fuel, and get me safely back on the road again within about 3-4 hours. Once we were back on the road, we were just a short drive away from and to be safe, in case of further trouble with the engine, stayed the night in Indianapolis so any truck trouble could be dealt with during daylight hours. We made the best of a wasted day and got to see another polo club on our journey... Moral of the story for yesterday: F**k .petroleum_ for using green handles for their regular gas handle color and almost costing me over $15,000 in engine repair. So we are just going to forget Wednesday ever happened. And it started off so fkg great at the beautiful property in St Louis. Ugh, what an up down day. Thank you, Austin, for your emergency hospitality at your club, putting up the ponies for the night on short notice.
