It was a grind this morning but EyeHooker Black was able to put a board together with just one fish short of crew limits for Kyler and his crew from Supreme Camper Detailing and Power Wash. Conditions were not perfect today but our best program was TruTrips 80-120 back with spoons and harnesses NE of the Cedar Point Dump.

Kyler specializes in camper washes and detailing and has been in business since 2020. Look him up on Facebook or give him a call at 419-308-8169 to get on his schedule.

After spending the month of August running several miles East of the Weather Buoy putting more than 60 miles on the clock everyday, today felt like a short commute at just half the distance that we’ve been running. It was a nice steady bite for us with an excellent grade of walleye. Fish were taken on spoons and harnesses behind TruTrips at 70-80 back on one side and 110-120 back on the other side. It looks like tomorrow might get a little sporty but we’re planning to leave the dock at 7:00 am sharp. Now thats a lot of walleye for early September!!

Improved weather conditions for the EyeHooker Boys and the Pedigro work crew this morning. Fishing wasn’t fast for us today but it was steady, the grade was awesome and the walleye are slowly moving closer to home. We need a few less degrees in water temps and the bite will be 🔥 again. We’re marking well and the fish we’re catching are full of Shad.

15-20 knots out of the NE this morning made it a real workday, but these folks from Iowa were determined to capture some walleye. Captain Ryan and Blake spent most of the day traveling bc wind conditions only allowed for a one way troll. The boys had to pull gear and run uphill a couple times, but when lines were in the water the fish were cooperating. After 2 wind days in a row we’re looking forward to better conditions tomorrow and optimistic the fish will be there waiting for us.

Patience was key today but Captain Blake and Ryan found some fish that would cooperate and captured a limit with the Pettit crew. TruTrips and harness back 70-120, high divers at 47 and size 50 TruTrips at 55 back on the border East of the Islands.

FULL Pulls again today for 4 EyeHooker Groups. It’s not a rip right now but we’re still getting it done. Some areas near the Weatherbuoy are loaded with white perch and they’re burning the harness bite up. When we get into too many Whitey’s we’ve started switching about half the gear over to spoons and small Crankbaits. This week we like a bright green Yek spoon with a fluorescent orange back. We also like #7 Flicker Minnows and Jointed Flicker Shad. Still running all gear at 100-120 back with size 40 TruTrips.
