👟🌍 3RD ANNUAL GTE SHOE DRIVE 🌍👟

Every pair tells a story. Every donation changes a life.

This year, God’s Timing Elite and Moknowledge Youth Foundation are once again partnering with Let It Fly Basketball Academy to collect shoes and athletic equipment for children in The Gambia, West Africa.

In many parts of The Gambia, shoes are considered a luxury—not a necessity. Many children walk long distances to school, play sports barefoot, and often share limited resources with their families. A simple pair of shoes can provide protection, confidence, dignity, and the opportunity to participate safely in school and sports.

Can’t make it to a drop-off location? No problem!

🚗 I am happy to coordinate local pick-ups or meet you at a convenient location to collect your donation. Just send me a message and we’ll make it happen!

🏀 Deflated basketballs
🎒 Bookbags

This past weekend, our middle school boys traveled to Orlando and played up — and every single game came down to the wire. Losses by one and two points. They battled until the final buzzer, every time!!

The individual growth. The collective growth. Watching them come together as one unit, locked in and ready to compete against older, more experienced competition, was encouraging!

But the moment that stood out above all of it had nothing to do with the scoreboard. One of our players pulled aside and asked where he should start his Bible reading journey. That question is exactly what GTE is built for. We are not just developing athletes. We are raising young athletes of faith, character, and purpose.

Wins and losses will come and go. But the winning of souls? That lasts forever. All glory to God. 👏👏👏

The Legacy Team scrimmage against the ISA Development Team was such a great experience for everyone involved!! We’re incredibly thankful to be connected with programs that value development, encouragement, and helping young athletes grow both on and off the court. Iron sharpens iron, and environments like this make everybody better!!

The Legacy Program at GTE is for our 5th–8th grade development program focused on teaching athletes how to compete at a higher level while building confidence, basketball IQ, discipline, and teamwork.

This is more than just games — it’s about building a foundation and creating a legacy through hard work and growth. 🤩🤩

🙏🏾 Happy National Day of Prayer from the GTE AAU family!

Today, May 7, 2026, marks the 75th annual National Day of Prayer! A day where millions of Americans across all 50 states pause together to pray for our nation, our leaders, and the next generation.

✨ A LITTLE HISTORY ✨
The roots of prayer in America go all the way back to 1775, when the Continental Congress called the colonies to pray during the Revolutionary War. President Lincoln did the same in 1863 during the Civil War. But it was in 1952 — after Billy Graham stood on the steps of the Capitol and challenged Congress — that this day became official, signed into law by President Truman. In 1988, President Reagan permanently set the date as the first Thursday of every May.

This year's theme: "Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations" — 1 Chronicles 16:24
