Washburn newcomers & transfers honored by MIAA Academic squads

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The MIAA released is Newcomer Academic Awards on Tuesday for transfers and freshmen. The Ichabods had 118 student-athletes named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, 19 were tabbed as MIAA Scholar Athletes and 16 Ichabods were named to the MIAA Academic Excellence listing.

Ichabod tennis places 9 on MIAA Academic Honor Roll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Washburn tennis had nine total players earn MIAA Academic Honors announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon. The Ichabods also earned two MIAA Scholar-Athletes and a pair of MIAA Academic Excellence honors.

TEMPE, Ariz. --Washburn tennis head coach Kirby Ronning was named the ITA/Dunlop Women's Tennis Coach of the Year on Tuesday afternoon by the organization. Ronning is the first coach in Ichabod history to be named the National Coach of the Year on either the men's or women's side.

Ichabod athletic program remains 15th after winter season in Learfield Directors' Cup Standings

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Washburn Ichabod athletic teams remained 15th in the winter standings update of the Learfield Directors' Cup Standings two-thirds through the academic year. The Ichabods tallied 145 total points with the winter sports moving its season total to 330 points.
