Lake County Stars 12U Bond Cooperstown Fundraising 2023

Since the Major League Baseball season starts up on Thursday, March 30th we thought we'd run a fun baseball pool in support of our Lake County Stars 12U Bond baseball team and their journey to Cooperstown. Please pass it along to friends and family as well.

13-Run Baseball Pool - 30 slots at $30 entry
Once all 30 spots are filled each person will be assigned a random MLB team. Then the fun starts! Starting on Opening Day, Thursday, March 30th the person whose team scores all the different run totals between 0 and 13 first wins the pool and $270. To add to the fun, the first team to 5 different run totals wins their buy-in back $30 and the first team to 10 different run totals wins $150.

Who'se ready for March Madness? We wanted to let you know about two options that we are running to support our Lake County Stars 12U Bond baseball team and their journey to Cooperstown.
1) NCAA Tournament Bracket - $20 entry split the pot half the money goes to the baseball team and half goes to the winner. Multiple entries accepted, the more entries we have the bigger the pot. Pick the winner of each game of the tournament for every round and the top three people who get the most points will get paid out. 1st Place - 70%, 2nd Place - 20%, 3rd Place - 10%.

Starts with Round 1, Thursday, March 16th @ 11:15am central time bracket locks at tipoff. No manual entries will be accepted.

2) NCAA Tournament Survivor Pool - $20 entry split the pot half the money goes to the baseball team and half goes to the winner. Multiple entries are accepted, the more entries we have the bigger the pot. Pick 1 team for each day of the NCAA Men's Division 1 Basketball Tournament. If your team wins, you advance and you CAN'T PICK THAT TEAM AGAIN, so choose your teams wisely. If they lose, you're out. This is a winner take all pool. Starts Thursday, March 16th. The pick deadline is currently set for 7pm central time and this will be your daily deadline for the first four days of the tourney.

Superbowl Squares supporting our Lake County Stars 12U Bond excellent payouts $400 per quarter $800 for final score entry fee $40 per square with 50% going to the team as this is a fundraiser. Now that we are officially in the NFL playoffs season we wanted to let you know about two options that we are running to support our Lake County Stars 12U Bond baseball team and their journey to Cooperstown.
1) Survivor Playoffs - $50 entry and then it's split the pot half the money goes to the baseball team and half goes to the winner. Starts Saturday, January 14th. Pick one team to win for each of the playoff rounds. When your team loses you are out. Last person left wins half the pot. 2) Superbowl Squares - $40 per square with 50% going to the team as this is a fundraiser. Multiple squares available for purchase. Superbowl is on Sunday, February 12th. Numbers will be assigned the Saturday before the Superbowl based on which square(s) you’ve selected. In July 2023, the Lake County Stars 12U Bond Travel Baseball team will embark on a trip to Cooperstown, New York, for a “once in a lifetime” chance to play at the Cooperstown All-Star Village Tournament. Home to the Baseball Hall of Fame, this tournament is the ultimate youth baseball experience. The tournament includes 6 straight days of bonding, brotherhood and of course baseball! In order to realize this dream, the boys are raising money to sponsor their trip. Their goal is to raise $5000 total to send the team to Cooperstown and they need your help!

Giving is not just about making a donation, it’s about making a difference. If the boys reach their goal of $5,000 they will spend a day giving back to the community by volunteering at a charity of their choice. Please watch the video below and meet the team that you would be supporting.
