A better late than never post šŸ™„šŸ˜

šŸ’™šŸ©· Every kid who picks up a cricket bat dreams of that moment—representing their country on the world stage. But when it actually happens? When one of OUR kids makes it to a WORLD CUP? That’s when it becomes real. Yesterday, watching Shiv make his World Cup debut for USA Cricket at the ICC U19 World Cup against New Zealand, we felt something I can’t quite put into words. Pride, yes. But also hope. Pure, undeniable hope.

Shiv showed up to practice just like every other kid at our academy (may be, he put in additional hours too). He worked through the tough days, celebrated the small wins, and kept believing even when the path seemed impossible. He’d already earned his place on the USA U19 team earlier in 2025 (along with Rahul Basu) , but this—stepping onto the field at a World Cup—this is the dream that keeps you going through every early morning practice, every setback, every moment of doubt.

His journey tells every parent here something powerful: your child’s dream isn’t just a dream. With hard work, dedication, the right support, and yes—a little bit of luck and a hundred other things falling perfectly into place—it CAN happen. Shiv’s World Cup debut is proof that what we’re building here at Chicago Youth Cricket Academy matters. That the hours you spend driving to practice matter. That every ball bowled, every catch practiced, every lesson learned is leading somewhere extraordinary.

Congratulations, Shiv. You’ve made us all believe a little harder today. And to every other kid at our academy—keep dreaming. Keep working. Your World Cup moment might be closer than you think. Here’s to many more of our kids wearing their country’s colors on the biggest stage. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø šŸ’™šŸ©·

Blackhawks cruise into final as rain denies Blasters a chase; AMLCA Elite Jr Championship - 2025 Top 8 Championship U17
Match Abandoned - C*CA Chicago Blackhawks 139/9 (23.2 overs) vs Austin Blasters 0/0 (0.0 overs)

The Chicago Youth Cricket Academy Chicago Blackhawks’ march to the U17 AMLCA Elite Jr Championship final continued despite a rain-affected third league fixture against Austin Blasters being abandoned, with the weather denying the Blasters any chance of mounting a chase.

The Blackhawks had battled their way to 139/9 in 23.2 overs before persistent rain forced officials to call off the match, leaving the Austin Blasters stranded without facing a delivery. However, the result was academic for the Blackhawks, who had already secured their place in tomorrow’s championship final against Hurricane Athletics.
Batting first, the Blackhawks found runs hard to come by against a disciplined Blasters attack. Sanay Patel top-scored with a fighting 30 off 16 balls, striking three boundaries and a six at a strike rate of 187.50. Captain A***n Patel contributed a steady 26 off 29, while Nikhil Mudaliar added 21 off 16 with a four and two sixes before falling to Anay Sharma. The middle order chipped in with useful contributions. Ved Amin scored 15 off 16, Alex Koshy made 12 off 29, Skanda Nishanth struck 9 off 9 with two fours at a strike rate of 100, and Saatvik Kailash remained not out on 10 off 11. However, Jimit Patel (0 off 2), Suhas Gummella (5 off 7), Shyamak Singhdeo (0 off 2), and Tejas Arjun (0 off 4) all perished cheaply as wickets fell at regular intervals.

The Blasters’ bowling unit was exceptional. Vibhav Ashok was the star performer with outstanding figures of 3-13 from 5 overs, removing key batsmen at crucial moments. Anay Sharma matched his effort with 3-17 from 4 overs, while captain Rishi Pogaru claimed 1-29 from 5 overs. Dhruv Shenoy (1-39), Rithvik Ramesh (1-39), and the economical trio kept the pressure on throughout. Heavy rain swept across the ground and the Blackhawks innings was to be cut short and the match was officially abandoned with the Blasters yet to bat.

While the Blasters will rue the missed opportunity to test themselves against the tournament’s form team, the Blackhawks remain unbeaten heading into tomorrow’s summit clash. With three dominant performances already under their belt—including comprehensive victories over President’s XI and Denver Avengers—the Blackhawks will fancy their chances of lifting the U17 Elite Championship trophy when they face Hurricane Athletics in the final.

Match Summary:
• Match Status: Abandoned
• Blackhawks innings: 139/9 (23.2 overs)
• Blasters innings: 0/0 (0.0 overs)
• Top scorer: Sanay Patel (30 off 16)
• Best bowling: Vibhav Ashok (3-13)
• Impact: Blackhawks qualify for final
• Next: Championship final vs Hurricane Athletics tomorrow

# Bulls’ playoff hopes dashed as rain forces abandonment against Eagles

AMLCA Elite Jr Championship - 2025 Top 8 Championship U15

Match Abandoned - NACA Eagles 152/6 (22.0 overs) vs C*CA Chicago Bulls 0/0 (0.0 overs)

The C*CA Chicago Bulls’ aspirations of finishing in the top four of the U15 Elite Championship were extinguished by rain, as their crucial third league fixture against NACA Eagles was abandoned without the Bulls facing a single delivery.

The washout proved costly for the Bulls, denying them the opportunity to secure vital points and relegating them to a fifth-place playoff rather than a spot in the finals.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Eagles had posted a formidable 152/6 in 22 overs before the rain arrived. Arnav Srikar top-scored with an aggressive 38 off 37 balls, striking a four and a six, while captain Aarav Shukla anchored the innings with an unbeaten 27 off 28. Siddarth Penmetsa provided fireworks with a quickfire 18 off just 10 deliveries.

Rishi Bakhru added 17 off 20, Rohan Chennakesavan contributed 12 off 15, and Abhinav Varma remained not out on 15 off 11 as the Eagles piled on runs at nearly seven per over. Extras ballooned to 17, including 10 wides, further boosting the Eagles’ total.

The Bulls’ bowling unit showed character despite the onslaught. Captain Suchet H was outstanding with figures of 3-20 from 5 overs, removing key batsmen at crucial junctures. Shreyas Muddasani (1-27 from 3 overs) and Krishiv Raj (1-27 from 5 overs) also picked up wickets, while Mustafa Hashim (0-22), Hussain Malik (0-40), and Jayanth Yara (0-11) toiled hard to contain the Eagles.

The Bulls never got their chance to bat as the match was called off. The abandonment proved decisive in the tournament standings. With one win and one loss from their completed matches, the Bulls fell short of the points needed to break into the top four, ending their hopes of reaching the semi-finals.

The Bulls now regroup for tomorrow’s fifth-place playoff, determined to finish their campaign on a high note despite the disappointment of missing out on the Top 4 finish.

Match Summary:

- Match Status: Abandoned
- NACA Eagles innings: 152/6 (22.0 overs)
- C*CA Bulls innings: 0/0 (0.0 overs)
- Best bowling: Suchet H (3-20)
- Impact: Bulls eliminated from top-four contention
- Next: Fifth-place playoff tomorrow

Blackhawks make it two from two with clinical chase against Avengers

AMLCA Elite Jr Championship - 2025 Top 8 Championship U17: lChicago Youth Cricket Academy Chicago Blackhawks 157/2 (24.3 overs) beat Denver Avengers 154/10 (37.2 overs) by 8 wickets

The C*CA Chicago Blackhawks continued their perfect start to the U17 Elite Championship, cruising to an eight-wicket victory over Denver Avengers in their second league fixture to maintain their winning momentum.
After restricting the Avengers to 154 all out in 37.2 overs, the Blackhawks’ batsmen made light work of the chase, reaching 157/2 in just 24.3 overs with more than 12 overs to spare.

The Avengers’ innings was built around a magnificent knock from Pratyush N, who stroked a superb 78 off 83 balls to give his side a fighting chance. However, he lacked substantial support, with Aathyanth L (17 off 26) and Ashwin S (13 off 18) the only other batsmen to reach double figures. The Blackhawks’ bowling attack was disciplined and effective. Jimit P claimed 2-23 from 7 overs, while Skanda N picked up 2-29 from 5 overs to maintain pressure throughout. Alex K chipped in with 1-13 from 4.2 overs as the Avengers were bowled out well short of a competitive total.

In reply, the Blackhawks produced a batting masterclass. Sanay P provided the good start with an unbeaten 30 off 44. Nikhil M continued his excellent form with a composed 51 off 40 balls, while Suhas G played a crucial knock of 42 off 50 guiding the Blackhawks home with authority. The Avengers’ bowlers struggled to make an impact, with Aishik G (1-20 from 5 overs) and Hari B (1-29 from 4 overs) claiming a wicket apiece. Rohan M went wicketless despite conceding just 16 runs from 3 overs as the Blackhawks cantered to victory.

With two comprehensive wins from their opening two fixtures, the Blackhawks have established themselves as serious contenders for the U17 Elite Championship title as they head into the business end of the league stage.
Match Summary:
• Top performer: Nikhil M (51 off 40)
• Best bowling: Jimit P (2-23)
• Result: C*CA Chicago Blackhawks won by 8 wickets

AMLCA Elite Jr Championship - 2025 Top 8 Championship U15

Chicago Youth Cricket Academy Chicago Bulls 101/10 (26.1 overs) beat AYCA Blasters 59/10 (26.2 overs) by 42 runs

The C*CA Chicago Bulls produced a stunning comeback to register their first victory of the U15 Elite Championship, defending a modest 101 to bowl out AYCA Blasters for just 59 and seal a comprehensive 42-run triumph in their second league fixture.

After their heartbreaking one-run defeat in the opening game, the Bulls showed remarkable resilience to turn their campaign around with a dominant bowling performance.

Batting first, the Bulls struggled to build momentum and were dismissed for 101 in 26.1 overs. Dhruv G top-scored with a patient 19 off 34 balls, while Mustafa H contributed 16 off 18 and Aarav J added 14 off 23. The Bulls’ batting lineup failed to fire collectively, but their total would prove more than sufficient.

The Blasters’ bowling attack was exceptional, led by Arhaan V’s career-best figures of 4-21 from 5 overs. Aman R was virtually unplayable with remarkable figures of 2-2 from just 1.1 overs, while Dhanush S chipped in with 1-7 from 3 overs as the Bulls were kept in check throughout.

However, the Bulls’ bowlers transformed the contest with a clinical display. Krishiv R was the architect of the collapse, claiming 4-12 from 8 overs in a devastating spell that ripped through the Blasters’ batting order. Suchet H provided excellent support with 2-12 from 3 overs, while Hussain M picked up 1-2 from 4 overs in a miserly performance.

The Blasters never recovered from the early onslaught, managing just 59 before being bowled out in 26.2 overs. Ranvir V’s 13 off 17 was the only score of note as wickets tumbled at regular intervals. Arhaan V (6 off 35) and Aarush I (5 off šŸ˜Ž found no answers to the Bulls’ relentless pressure.

The comprehensive victory marks a perfect response from the Bulls, who will look to carry this momentum into their remaining league fixtures as they chase a spot in the knockout stages.

Match Summary:

- Player of the Match: Krishiv R (4-12)
- Best bowling: Krishiv R (4-12)
- Result: C*CA Chicago Bulls won by 42 runs

AMLCA Elite Jr Championship - 2025 Top 8 Championship U15

ACAC Gladiators 149/8 (32.0 overs) beat Chicago Youth Cricket Academy Bulls 148/10 (32.0 overs) by 1 run

The C*CA Chicago Bulls suffered heartbreak in their opening fixture of the U15 Elite Championship, falling just one run short of victory in a nail-biting encounter against ACAC Gladiators.

Chasing a target of 150, the Bulls were cruelly denied as they were bowled out for 148 in exactly 32 overs, with the Gladiators celebrating a dramatic one-run triumph.

Earlier, the Gladiators posted 149/8 in their allotted 32 overs, built on crucial contributions from the top order. Sarthak C led the way with a composed 30 off 25 balls, while Mihir P added 27 off 34. Rishi D provided a late flourish with 24 off 47 as the Gladiators recovered from early setbacks to post a competitive total.

The Bulls’ bowling attack was disciplined throughout. Hussain M (2-25 from 6 overs) and Shreyas M (2-28 from 6 overs) shared four wickets between them, while Dhruv V was miserly with figures of 1-6 from 2 overs, keeping the Gladiators in check.

In the chase, Krishiv R played a valiant hand with 44 off 57 balls, giving the Bulls hope of pulling off the victory. Dhruv V contributed a useful 23 off 36, while Mustafa H provided late impetus with a brisk 21 off just 17 deliveries. However, wickets fell at crucial moments as the Bulls lost their way in the closing stages.

The Gladiators’ bowlers held their nerve under pressure. Mihir P claimed 2-9 from 3 overs in an economical spell, while Garv B picked up 2-31 from 7 overs. Vedant P’s single wicket for just 7 runs proved crucial in the tight finish.

Despite the agonizing defeat, the Bulls will take heart from their fighting spirit as they look to bounce back in their remaining league fixtures of the Top 8 Championship.

Match Summary:

- Top performer: Krishiv R (44 off 57)
- Best bowling: Dhruv V (1-6)
- Result: ACAC Gladiators won by 1 run

AMLCA Elite Jr Championship - 2025 Top 8 Championship U17: Chicago Youth Cricket Academy Chicago Blackhawks 170/3 (25.1 overs) beat President’s XI 169/10 (36.0 overs) by 7 wickets

The C*CA Chicago Blackhawks kicked off their 2025 AMLCA U17 Elite Championship campaign in emphatic fashion, crushing President’s XI by seven wickets with more than 10 overs to spare in the opening league fixture.

After winning the toss and electing to bowl, the Blackhawks’ attack made immediate inroads. Adrian L set the tone with a superb spell of 3-21 from 7 overs, while Saatvik K matched his effort with 3-37 from 8 overs as President’s XI were bundled out for 169 in 36 overs.

Opener Likith A fought a lone hand for President’s XI, top-scoring with a gritty 60 off 70 deliveries. He received support from Varun S (34 off 49) and Aadithiya D (26 off 29), but the Blackhawks’ bowlers never allowed the opposition to break free. Skanda N was also among the wickets with economical figures of 1-14 from 2 overs.

The chase was a masterclass in controlled aggression. Nikhil M anchored the run chase with an authoritative 70 off 71 balls, pacing the innings perfectly. Tejas A played the ideal supporting role with 35 off 36, while Shyamak S provided late impetus with 26 off 28 as the Blackhawks romped home at 170/3 in just 25.1 overs.

President’s XI’s bowlers toiled hard, with Shubh S (1-14), Ishant B (1-19), and Bhargav S (1-31) picking up wickets, but lacked the firepower to challenge a rampant Blackhawks batting lineup.

The comprehensive victory provides the perfect start for the Blackhawks as they look to navigate the league stage and mount a serious challenge for the U17 Elite Championship title.

Match Summary:

- Top performer: Nikhil M (70 off 71)
- Best bowling: Adrian L (3-21)
- Result: C*CA Chicago Blackhawks won by 7 wickets
