Last week we had four young men represent Carolina Kicks Matthews at AAU Taekwondo Nationals in Las Vegas. Although we did not return with medals they each are winners in our opinion.
Taylor continues to fight very hard and show progress from his training.
Bailey returned to the mat after recently getting a kick to the face (clean Kick) two weeks prior.
Brice broke a finger in his first match but continued to fight with a swollen/ throbbing hand winning his first two fights; only to lose his third by a couple points.
Kamden pulled off a beautiful jumping 360 hook kick that was too pretty for the referee. IF YOU WERE THERE YOU KNOW THAT IS ALL WE CAN SAY ABOUT THAT!!!
After getting back home they were back to training Monday night to prepare for the next event. We are very proud of how our athletes represented our school last week and look forward to the next opportunity for them to compete again soon.
