Rifle things…

I’ve said it before, it’s easy to get decent with rifle, but it takes a lot of work to get GOOD. Yesterday I had the opportunity to work with Newport and Laguna Beach SWAT pushing some new rifle standards.

Thanks to Project Blue Lion for making it possible!

Happy Mother’s Day to my bride, an incredible mother to all 4 of our kids. She’s unstoppable, powerfully loving, fiercely loyal, and willing to fight for those she loves,

I truly don’t have the words to express how much of a badass she is, but I’m so freakin proud of her. Our oldest daughters adore her and learn how to be strong and work hard, our youngest copies EVERYTHING she does, and George leads the pack while helping care for his younger sisters.

Karen, thank you for all that you do, not just the obvious things like cooking 5 star meals for us, but all the behind the scenes things you don’t think we see, I am so grateful for you.

The LPVO Instructor course over the last 3 days was outstanding.

I’ve seen more and more agencies fielding LPVOs which can be a huge advantage when used to their full potential, but most don’t know how to leverage them.

Over the last 3 days I worked with a dozen Texas LE instructors to help develop LPVO training plans, push their skills, and refine their teaching methods. Pushing speed and accuracy from 3 to 300 yards and discovering just how versatile an scoped carbine can be.

I’ll be back in Texas in a month with TTPOA in San Antonio and Waxahachie for an open enrollment class. Hit me up if you’re ready to push yourself!

It was a muddy mess of a day one for everyone and I have a lot to work on. That said, gear ran great, just need to dial in my vision for some simple things and finish tomorrow strong.

Running an updated build with some goodies, Razor 1-6, and .

Sometimes a picture is the best coach.

Often people don’t know what they’re doing wrong, even when you explain it to them. SHOWING them can break through the clutter and make it stick.

As an instructor and coach, I’m always looking for ways to improve my student’s ability to absorb what we’re working on. This is a quick and easy way to do it!

Thinks also why I keep classes small, especially Winter Paradise Summit which is where this was recorded. One on one corrections make massive impact over large group demos and training. Come join us December 7-9 for this year’s Summit!

Just send it…

When you’re shooting fast stages with high hit factors, time is critical. Sacrificing some Charlies with worth saving time, but be careful, it’s real hard to outrun a miss.

I knew this stage was going to be a burner with an emphasis on splits, transitions, and blending positions. I managed a stage win by nearly 6% with a 10.76HF. 🤘🏼

Running the Titan this year has been fun. Previously I used the Athena for my LO blaster, but the Titan is absolutely amazing.

A little structure goes a long way! Get your Free Drills & Skills targets and start training smarter 💪🏼

Comment “Dryfire” or click the link in my bio.

Dryfire is the foundation I built my entire shooting career on. Not because I wanted to, but out of necessity because I couldn’t afford ammo. Fast forward 15 years and now I see how valuable it was (and still is) for perfecting the processes rather than focusing on the results.

The Drills & Skills pack will give you 7 printable targets with accompanying video tutorials all for FREE!
