Leaders from the Sachem North football team proudly participated in the 25th anniversary 9/11 remembrance ceremony, standing shoulder-to-shoulder behind their classmates as touching tributes were shared about patriotism, heroism and deeply personal connections to this solemn day.

Their presence reflected the strength, unity and character of the Sachem community.

Sachem North Football will never forget. 🇺🇸 🏈

Sachem North (1-0) was led by senior quarterback Luke LaRocca, who accounted for five touchdowns. LaRocca completed 9 of 13 passes for 179 yards and four touchdowns while adding 49 yards and a score on seven carries.

Senior Gavin Nuzzi set the tone by returning the opening kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown. He finished with 140 yards on three kickoff returns, two receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown, and an interception on defense.

Senior Lucas Bouchard caught three passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns, while Joey Vulin added a 15-yard touchdown reception. Defensively, Niko Valenza recorded a sack, and Jake Kuhlman and Vito DePalo led the Arrows with 5.5 tackles apiece.
