Last opportunity to enter the Lake Placid Strongman Invitational is tonight. Final counts will be done Monday morning. Thank you to all who responded. It should be a great show with a great turnout.

We're getting down to the wire for entry forms. If you're planning to compete and have not yet sent in your entry form, please call or email me your division and shirt size. I need a final count by Monday the 24th. Entry fee can be sent in later or day of contest. Also, for ALL those competing, if you're bringing friends/family I need a count of how many to enter the festival. Without proper credentials, there is a cost to enter. Any questions, let me know.

Clarification and Announcement........ A few athletes have asked if the strongman contest is by invitation only. The contest is open to all . Anyone interested is INVITED. Also, I am happy to announce that we will have a guest judge at our contest.
Rob Kearney - Pro Strongman athlete. WSM 2017, 2018 ; 2019 Arnold Pro Strongman Australia 1st Place; American record holder log c/p. Looking forward to a great time. Any questions or comments let Phil or myself know.

Happy April Everyone,
Here are some particulars about the Lake Placid Invitational Strongman:
Event 1 Granite Block clean/press. One clean to chest then press away. Do not have to clean every rep. 60 sec.
Event 2 Axle hummer tire DL. For reps, straps allowed, controlled descent. 60 sec.
Event 3 Truck pull. Harnessed to truck with rope anchor. Approximately 60-75ft. 60sec.
Event 4 Natural stone carry/load. 3 stones of increasing weight and staggered distance carried to back of truck and loaded. 90 sec.
Event 5 Dinnie stones. 60 sec. to become familiar with position of stones then on command pick up 2 stones by rings until failure.

Each athlete with paid entry will get a $10.00 food voucher for bar-b-q. Family and friends have free admission to festival with credentials. I will need to know how many for each athlete.
Any questions or comments let us know. If anyone wants to train at the garage let us know ahead of time.

Greetings Strongman and Strong woman. Lake Placid Strongman will be having a contest on Saturday, July 6, 2019. On the speed Skating oval in conjunction with the Lake Placid I Love Bar-B-Q Festival . Food, music and Strongman. What else is there?

Unfortunately, due to schedule conflicts, the spring strongman contest is canceled. However, we are still training here at the garage and you are welcome to join us on training days. Just give a heads up before showing up.

Hey everyone. Hope your training is going great. Our spring contest is May 12, 2018. I would appreciate as much feed back as possible in regards to another contest with team events along with individual events. The contest last spring was well received. We are still formulating the events. Let me know.

In order to get an idea of how many competitors, submit your team name as well as the captain (contact person) on the event page. Registration, fees, etc. will be done on the day of contest.
