Last weekend we had 18 athletes race in the second JNQ hosted by due to low snow elsewhere in the West. Our team had some great success thanks to our coaches and parent chaperones who made the athletes lives as easy as possible. Thanks for the tools to make some fast skis in the standardized waxing era. Reports from the athletes indicated the skis were speedy! Next stop for the team is the Grand Tour this upcoming weekend and the final JNQ in West Yellowstone the following weekend.

Wednesday Night Lights Skiathlon, a short story.
First, prepare your skis with , get some instruction from your coaches, set up your exchange area, go warm up, talk up your fitness at the start line, go out hard, hang on for as long as you can, switch skis and poles, start skating like you have a second wind, finish, re-live your glory with coaches and friends, and then clean up and go home. Thanks to our awesome coaches and volunteers for putting this free event on! We had 70 racers! Join us Feb 25 for our last race and end of season bbq! Thanks for the grooming and for sending some racers!

Senior Nationals! We had a bit of a slow start getting used to the cold temps, natural snow, and the lack of altitude but the team really started popping off by the end of the trip. Everyone learned and improved their skiing after racing on the hardest 5k loop in the United States. Ruby made Junior Heats as a U16 and qualified for the Scando Cup Trip! Tristan will be joined by our JR. Devo Coach Gabe Norby in Norway and Sweden. Thanks to for joining us and for the speedy skis! The Jet Yellow Liquid was really good for the final two days!

Quick Recap from Junior Worlds Biathlon Team Trials. Team SOHO had 16 athletes attend and 7 make international teams. We had .anderson13 win the trials and and make both Junior Worlds and Junior Cup. On the women’s side made both Junior cup and Junior Worlds. We had three women make either Junior Cup or Junior Worlds. On top of that we had some great personal best races for many of our team members. Next week we will have 12 athletes race at Senior Nationals!
