I’m currently quarantined at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, New York, to prepare for the upcoming skeleton season. I have a rush of emotions, on one hand I’m extremely excited and on the other I’m nervous and anxious.
•
Because we will be restricted to an athlete and staff bubble, that means I won’t be able to work. It breaks me heart deeply to temporarily leave the job and people I have fallen so in love with at .28
•
Olympic sports aren’t funded by the government and that’s why I’m asking for your help during this season. As athletes we are required to pay for our own gear, flights, hotels, membership fees, transportation and more. Why am I even doing this you ask? I have a desire in my heart so strong to be an Olympian, that I CAN NOT leave this earth without achieving it.
