With back to school starting, I figured I'd show a little glimpse of what's been happening in a little pool out in Barnett! So many kiddos coming from all over, putting in the work! This is NOT an easy skillset to teach or to learn, and some kiddos had to jump over some big hurdles to get these skills, so yes, this may be the "highlight" reel, but I could NOT be more proud of how hard these kiddos and famlies worked to get here!

📣I am SO honored and proud to announce that Osage County has an official Certified ISR Instructor! 📣

Mikalah was a swim Mom that had her son in my Jefferson City session. Like me, at my daughter's ISR lesson, she instantly became impressed with the ISR structure and began asking questions about becoming Certified. Her and her family soon began the process of ISR Instructor training, and she went off to her 6-week in water training in South Carolina!

Many do not know how in depth, and hard ISR Instructor training truly is, and the sacrifice and commitment not from only the Student Instructor, but their families! I am so proud of Mikalah and her family for making the commitment so that she can now teach these amazing Survival skills in Osage County!

Having Mikalah and Show-Me ISR to serve Bonnots Mill, Loose Creek, Westphalia, and surrounding areas, is a HUGE blessing for local famlies! She is a quick drive from Jefferson City as well, so, I hope all of the interest that I have received from Jefferson City families will look to Mikalah for her Certified ISR Instructor abilities!

I have been beyond blessed to serve in Westphalia, and as this isn't "Goodbye" just yet, I am giving my heart and blessing to my past families to look to Mikalah for maintenance and refresher opportunities!

I am so excited to have Mikalah close and look forward to working together towards our shared mission of "Not One More Child Drowns." 💙🦭💙

My summer session at Redhead Lakeside Grill was an absolute blast! We worked HARD, but 👀 at these amazing kiddos! I can't love this job and these kiddos and famlies enough! Super excited about getting back to such a fun environment and pool!

What a beautiful morning for refreshers in Barnett! I can squeeze a few more kiddos in if you need a life jacket reset, basic maintenance, or refreshers! I can make some wiggle room in my afternoon/evening session if needed! Come on over! The water is warm! I will be out of the pool after July 26th until this Fall! Time is running out! #

📢 Last call for REFRESHERS in Barnett before Fall lessons begin! 📢 I have some morning availability from 810-10:30 and a FEW afternoon/early evening spots. Dates will be July 6th- July 24th, Monday-Thursday.

👀 at one of my ittle 🧜‍♀️ representing the "perfect swim posture!" We worked HARD to undo bad posture with her head popping up above the water, and being able to get rid of the doggy paddle. With my ISR training and our fun ways to create her new swim posture and habits, she's 👌Now is her swim not only PERFECT, it's SAFE!

Why do we celebrate face-in swimming? 🥳

Because swimming with the head lifted high above the water (otherwise known as doggy paddling 🐶) is tiring and inefficient! When the head comes up, the hips and legs tend to drop. When the hips and legs drop, the body creates more resistance. More resistance means more effort just to get to the air 😮‍💨 For children, that extra effort can quickly lead to fatigue which compromises their safety.

Learning to swim with the face in the water promotes a more streamlined body position and helps children move farther while using less energy 🤍🧘

That’s not just better swimming…it’s safer, smarter swimming. 🤗
