😍WOW😍 I received a sweet reminder from ISR on my 2 year anniversary of being a Certified ISR Instructor. ❤️🦭❤️
These past two years have been more than I could have ever imagined. I knew this was going to be a pretty cool "job," but I had no idea of knowing how much my heart would be blessed by all of the wonderful kiddos and famlies that I have connected with. When you spend 4 to 5 days a week, for at least 6-weeks with people, you don't just become acquainted...you become friends and the mission becomes even more personal.
This job is tough..it's countless hours in the water working with every child's personality and specific physical, mental, and emotional needs. That's the beauty of this program, but the behind the scenes of trying to get pools booked and schedules booked that works perfectly with everyone's schedules, (spoiler alert...there's NO such thing) can be even tougher. With ISR lessons you will just have to prioritize what is more important at that time. There's not ONE single family that I have had that didn't have to sacrifice something in their busy schedule to get into my program, and many do have to drive a little bit as I can't be in everyone's backyard. So, don't think that any of these kiddos you see that committed to my program just happened to "have all the extra time" to commit and all the money and time in the world. Parents have had to utilize their Village to help, make a little bit more than a 10 minute trip, and miss a class or practice here and there, reschedule plans, etc, to get to me, but the end result of their sacrifices equates to their kiddo having LIFE LONG skills that could potentially SAVE their lives. The other activites will always be there to pick back up, but when life saving skills are needed..will your child be ready? 😳 I will do my best to work with budgets and schedules.
I am JUST getting started and ready to get my ISR hands on as many of our kiddos that I can get! I'm HERE, so LET'S GO!
