Notice how Cano has a slight hesitation while staying very balanced and quiet before stride and launch. This allows him to track the ball early and for the longest distance before deciding to swing or take the pitch. Something I've been working on with every player I've trained with is to store the weight of the load in the back hip rather than the quad/knee. That allows for a more controlled weight transfer and to keep the head/hips level and quiet. Try it out. I've been loving the results I've seen personally and the kids have all seen positive results when thinking about loading the hip vs their knee. That was a tip I learned from but does it nicely too!
