🚨 SUNDAY’S LADIES ONLY RIDES ARE CANCELED 🚨

Mother Nature isn’t cooperating with us this weekend. 🌧️

With the rain coming through today and overnight, we expect the roads and trails to be a wet, muddy mess tomorrow morning. Rather than send everyone out in sloppy conditions, we’re going to cancel Sunday’s Ladies Only Rides.

But don’t put the bikes away! 🚲💨

Weather permitting, we’re planning to ride Thursday as scheduled. Keep an eye on our page for updates.

And for everyone who was looking forward to riding Sunday — we’ll work on getting another Sunday Ladies Only Ride on the calendar soon! 💜

Thanks for understanding. We want these rides to be FUN, and riding through a soggy mess isn’t quite the kind of adventure we had in mind.

Our Ladies Only Rides are still ON for this Sunday! 🙌

That said, Mother Nature is being a little indecisive, and the forecast is looking a bit sketchy. 👀🌧️

We’re keeping a close eye on the weather and will make the safest call as we get closer to ride time.

🚲 Glenn & Linda put in some serious miles! 🥐☕️

These two super nice people headed out from the shop on a pair of Cannondale Adventure bikes, rode the Paint Creek Trail all the way down to Rochester, made the very important decision to stop at a bakery 😋, and then pedaled their way back.

More than 20 miles round trip! 💪🚲

That’s exactly what these bikes—and our rentals—are all about: getting outside, exploring somewhere new, stopping for something delicious, and making a day out of it.

Thanks for riding with us, Glenn & Linda! We loved having you and hope to see you back for another adventure soon.

🚴‍♀️💜 LADIES ONLY RIDES ARE BACK THIS SUNDAY! 💜🚴‍♀️

You asked. We listened. Let’s do it again!

Join us this Sunday at Lake Orion Bike & Adventure Co. for another Ladies Only Bike Ride!

⏰ Be at the shop around 9:30 AM to get ready, meet your fellow riders, and pick your group.
🚲 We roll at 10:00 AM!

We’ll once again have two no-drop options — our Chill Ride on the Paint Creek Trail and our Thrill Ride for those looking for some gravel, hills, and a little quicker pace.

And there’s one small change to the plan…

🥂 Waterside Social has once again agreed to host our post-ride shenanigans! After the ride, we’ll head over for a champagne toast, some laughs, and a little Sunday celebrating. 🍾

Helmets are required, e-bikes are welcome, and taillights are highly recommended.

Come ride with us — bring a friend or come solo. Either way, you won’t be riding alone. 💜

🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️ HOW ABOUT NATHANIEL?!

A HUGE congratulations to our own Nathaniel Langlie on an incredible performance at today’s Dragon Trails Triathlon at Camp Agawam!

🥈 2nd OVERALL
🥇 1st in his age group

It was a beautiful day for racing, but don’t let the sunshine fool you — that course is TOUGH! Nathaniel absolutely crushed it.

What makes this one even more impressive is that Nathaniel isn’t exactly sitting around with unlimited time to train. He puts in a ton of hours here at Lake Orion Bike & Adventure Co., keeping bikes rolling and taking care of our customers — and when he’s not at the shop, he’s busy being Dad to one pretty cool little guy. ❤️

Somehow, between work, family and life, he still finds enough time to stay ridiculously fast.

We couldn’t be prouder to have Nathaniel representing LO Bikes out there today.

Second overall. First in his age group. One heck of a race.

Way to go, Nathaniel! 👏👏👏

🐉🚵 GO DRAGONS! RACE DAY AT ADDISON OAKS! 🚵🐉

On Sunday, September 13, the Lake Orion Dragons Cycling Team takes on Race #3 of the 2026 MiSCA Mountain Bike Race Series at Addison Oaks County Park — and all of us at Lake Orion Bike & Adventure Co. are incredibly proud to sponsor these young riders!

If you’ve never been to a MiSCA race, go check it out! These events are pretty amazing, bringing together hundreds of young mountain bikers from around Michigan for a full day of racing, team tents, cheering families and some seriously impressive riding.

Sunday is Middle School and High School race day, with racing beginning around 9:00 AM and continuing throughout the afternoon. You’ll see everything from Varsity racers tackling roughly 19 miles to Middle School and Novice divisions competing on courses designed for their age and ability.

Come out, experience a MiSCA race, make some noise and CHEER ON THE LAKE ORION DRAGONS! 🐉🚵

We’re proud to support a program that’s getting kids on bikes, building confidence, creating friendships and developing the next generation of cyclists.

🚲 CLOSED SUNDAY — BECAUSE OUR TEAM IS OUT THERE DOING WHAT WE LOVE! 🏊‍♂️🚵‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Lake Orion Bike & Adventure Co. will be CLOSED tomorrow, Sunday, September 13, and we think we have a pretty good excuse.

Several members of our team will be putting their own bikes to work, racing in events around Michigan, while others will be right here in Lake Orion volunteering at the 3rd Annual Dragon Trails Triathlon at Camp Agawam!

The Dragon Trails Triathlon is a seriously cool hometown event featuring:

🏊 0.75K (.46-mile) swim through Tommy’s Lake
🚵 20K (12.4-mile) mixed-terrain bike through Bald Mountain, the Polly Ann Trail and Orion Oaks County Park
🏃 5K (3.1-mile) trail run through the wooded trails of Camp Agawam

The race kicks off at 9:00 AM and combines some of the best trails and outdoor spaces our area has to offer.

One of the reasons we opened Lake Orion Bike & Adventure Co. was to be more than just a place that sells and fixes bikes. We want our team to ride, race, volunteer, explore and be part of the outdoor community we serve.

Tomorrow, that means locking the front door and getting out there. ❤️

Good luck to everyone racing around Michigan tomorrow, and a HUGE thank-you to all of the volunteers helping make the Dragon Trails Triathlon happen.

If you see someone from the LO Bikes crew on a race course or volunteering at Camp Agawam, give them a shout! 🙌
