❗️The time has come to permanently close our doors to the public and pursue new ventures in our lives❗️

Due to a multitude of reasons (family, health, etc.) we have found that it is time for us to close to the public and pursue different ventures. We are beyond grateful to all of our customer over the last 18 years and can’t thank you all enough for the business and opportunities you have presented. We are also so thankful for all of the friends we have made over the years.

🍻Here’s to new beginning and opening new doors that God has intended for us.

We are currently working on what remaining orders we have and then will be permanently closed to the public. We will contact all of those remaining as soon as your orders are done.

🎉We are happy to announce that Audra and Tobbie welcomed their newest addition, Colson David Helms, to the family on March 16th at 10:04 p.m.
Both Audra and baby are doing very well.

🤳In Audra’s absence we are doing our best to answer messages and phone calls in a timely manner. Audra is doing her best to answer what she can, when she can on her end as well. If you haven’t heard from us, we promise we are getting to you.

👋👋 As Audra prepares to head off onto maternity leave we have decided to close our incoming order book until the first of May.
📝 This does not mean we are going to stop working on what orders we already have in and if we have spoke with you you’re still on the list. 🤗
🎉We are beyond grateful for all of the orders and work everyone has provided us with this season and we think it’s safe to say it’s been our busiest year to date since opening 18 years ago.

🤠 When we clean or dye saddles we take apart the entire saddle and remove all silver and conchos. The reason we do this is to not only make sure we can thoroughly clean/condition and or dye a saddle and get every surface (also makes cleaning silver and conchos/hardware so much easier).
It also allows us to check the tree and other parts of a saddle that could present the horse and rider with a dangerous situation (broken tree, dry rot, loose nails/screws, ties, etc)
🐝 This saddle was no exception to the rule as upon taking it apart a mud wasp nest was discovered 😱, it even still had larva in it 🫣.

✅ This is a great example of why thorough and routine tack checks and cleanings are important.

We are doing a much needed clean and purge of the shop and personal tack room and have discovered that quite a bit has accumulated over the years that we should/need to part with.

Hello Everyone 👋
We want to bring awareness to a major issue we have had with Facebook and our business page on here. Facebook is aware and troubleshooting the problem has been interesting on both ends. We have come to realize that while this page is beneficial it is not the best platform to be in contact with customers. Our messenger for this page works when it wants to. Fortunately it is way better than what it was and we seem to be receiving messages and are now able to also respond instead of it saying we deleted it or the user is unavailable (See photos to see what we are talking about).
Coincidentally our luck would have it be that our phone line wasn’t working that great either, especially when it came to android to iPhone connections (gotta love technology). The phone issues are 100% fixed as of two weeks ago and we also just launched our website last week (www.wortleysaddleandtack.com) where there is an open chat line. We have two people ready to answer inquiries on there.
This has been quite a process for us here and we deeply apologize for the inconveniences it may have caused. We’ve deeply felt the pain of these issues on this side but are now excited to move forward from here with even better customer service. As we catch up on messages and calls, if you have yet to hear from us, it may be because we never fully received your message or that it disappeared into the mystical land of the internet so please feel free to contact us again. We want to hear from you!
