The SFO Cubs fall 10-4 to the SIAA Giants despite Landon's effort

Landon Howard did his best to will the SFO Cubs to a win with a two-hit game, but the SFO Cubs dropped a 10-4 contest to the SIAA Giants on Thursday at SFO Field #1.

Two of the SFO Cubs' runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Landon. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

The SFO Cubs answered the SIAA Giants' top inning with two runs of their own in the first. The SFO Cubs scored on a two-run double by Landon.

The SIAA Giants never trailed after scoring five runs in the second.

The SIAA Giants tacked on another three runs in the third.

Two runs in the bottom of the third helped the SFO Cubs close their deficit to 10-4. A two-run single by Nick Johnson gave the SFO Cubs life.

I made some baseball cards for the team. I am missing Brock and Walker. Both of them hit the ball too quickly to get a photo. I will get them next game and hopefully some better ones of the boys who I did get. Any questions or concerns, let me know.

Early lead gives the SFO Cubs easy victory over the SFO Braves, 19-3

The SFO Cubs jumped out to an early lead on the SFO Braves and captured a 19-3 victory on Tuesday at SFO Field #1.

With 11 runs in the first three innings, the SFO Cubs left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
An RBI single by Andrew M, a two-run double by Jacob S, an RBI single by Nick J, an RBI single by Winford B, and a two-run double by Lawson H during the second inning helped the SFO Cubs put some runs on the board early.

Andrew racked up six RBIs on three hits for the SFO Cubs.

The SFO Cubs pounded the SFO Braves pitching, as seven hitters combined for 19 hits, 16 RBIs and 14 runs scored.

The SFO Cubs built upon their lead with four runs in the third. Logan W started the inning with a single, scoring Walker H. That was followed up by Gabriel W's single, bringing home Brock N.

The SFO Cubs added eight more runs in the top of the fourth. A single by Lawson ignited the offense, plating Winford. That was followed up by Brock's triple, scoring Landon H and Walker. Logan then singled bringing home Brock. The scoring ended as Andrew hit a Grand Slam plating Logan, Gabriel, Cade, and himself

The SFO Cubs come from behind to beat the SCAA Gold Eagles, 10-9

A loss looked likely for the Cubs when they trailed by seven runs in the fourth inning, but the Cubs were able to capture the lead back with a a two-run home run by Winford in the fourth inning, spurring the Cubs to a 10-9 win over the SCAA Gold Eagles at SFO Field #1 on Thursday.

With the Cubs trailing by one, Winford came to the plate and homered, scoring Jacob.

Winford racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Cubs.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 19 total runs and 33 hits during the game.

The Cubs hit four home runs in the win. Additional home runs for the Cubs came when Cade homered in the fourth inning, Keith homered in the fourth inning, and Gabriel homered in the fourth inning.

The top of the first saw the SCAA Gold Eagles take an early lead, 3-0.

The Cubs brought home one run in the first inning, and matched that run total in the third. In the first, the Cubs scored on an RBI single by Keith, bringing home Nick.

The SCAA Gold Eagles got two-run boosts in each of the second, third and fourth.

The SHERRILLS FORD OPTIMIST BABE RUTH LEAGUE 8yr old Cubs scored eight runs of their own in the fourth.

The SFO Cubs make the most of six hits in 2-1 victory over the SFO Braves

Both the SFO Cubs and the SFO Braves put runners aboard on Tuesday, but it was the Cubs that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 2-1 win at SFO Field #1.

The Braves out-hit Cubs eight to six, but the Braves stranded seven runners on base.

The fact that the Cubs grouped all of their runs into the third inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

The Cubs scored all their runs thanks to a third inning rally that saw two runs cross the plate on three doubles by Winford B, Keith H, and Walker H.

The Braves scored their only run of the game on an RBI single by Gabe in the fifth inning.

The SIAA Yankees and the SFO Cubs play to a 2-2 tie

The SIAA Yankees and the SFO Cubs played to a 2-2 tie on Saturday at Stumpy-Ebert.

The top of the second saw the Cubs take an early lead, 2-0. The Cubs caught fire after Lawson H doubled. Then Landon H singled, scoring Lawson. The Cubs then tacked on one more run when Landon scored on an RBI single by Logan W.

In the bottom of the third the Yankees were ready to have a big inning when Cade S made a game saving catch with the bases loaded to end the threat.

Logan's big day not enough, as the Cubs lose 8-1 to the SCAA Blue Eagles

Logan went 2-2 at the plate, but the Cubs fell 8-1 to the SCAA Blue Eagles at SFO Field #1 on Thursday.

The SCAA Blue Eagles' combined for 14 hits and 8 RBIs.

The SCAA Blue Eagles piled on six runs in the bottom of the second.

The Cubs managed to score one run in the fourth inning on an RBI double by Brock N.

SHERRILLS FORD OPTIMIST Cubs musters nine hits, drops 17-4 contest to TYAA Tigers

The Cubs lost 17-4 to the TYAA Tigers Thursday at SFO Field #1 despite Cade's two-hit day at the dish.

Cade had two extra-base hits for the Cubs. He doubled in the second and fourth innings.
The TYAA Tigers never trailed after scoring six runs in the first on two doubles and three singles.
A three-run second inning helped bring the Cubs within three. A two-run double by Gabriel W and an RBI single by Nick J triggered the Cubs' comeback.

The SHERRILLS FORD OPTIMIST Cubs take out the SFO Braves with help from Landon H, 7-5

The SHERRILLS FORD OPTIMIST Cubs beat the SFO Braves 7-5 in three innings on Monday at SFO Field #2 behind Landon H, who went 1-1.
He doubled in the second inning.
The bottom of the first saw the SFO Braves take an early lead, 5-0.
The Cubs came all the way back in the second inning, scoring five runs,capped by an RBI double by Landon. Andrew M and Nick J started it off with back-to-back singles. Andrew then scored on Logan W's single and Nick came in when Winford singled. Landon then doubled scoring Logan. The inning ended after Walker H singled bringing in both Winford and Landon.

The Cubs added two more runs in the top of the third. The inning got off to a hot start when Brock N doubled, bringing home Lawson H. That was followed up by Gabriel W's triple, scoring Brock.

Cubs come within 1 game of the championship!
Although the season ended without a championship, the Cubs ended with 12 individual champions. I just wanted to say thanks to all the players for making this a fun year to keep score. Not only did I get to watch everyone, and I mean everyone, get better each game, I also got to know the boys better by being the dugout guard ("In the hole means in the dugout"). I also wanted to thank the parents on this site and sharing the "News" after the games. One last thank you to all three coaches for your time, energy, and most of all patience. I know how hard it is to get good coaches in little league and I believe we had three of them.
Only thing left to say is "Cubbies in 2013!!!"

On June 4:
The Cubs best LYAA Rock Hounds in shootout, 12-8 to advance to the 2nd round.

The bats were busy at Graham on Monday, and when the dust cleared the Cubs had an 12-8 win over LYAA Rock Hounds in four innings.

The teams combined for 28 hits, including 13 extra base hits.

Gabriel racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Cubs. He doubled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and homered in the third inning.

The Cubs easily handled LYAA Rock Hounds pitching as six hitters combined for 13 hits, nine RBIs and 10 runs scored.

The top of the first saw LYAA Rock Hounds take an early lead, 2-0. Tyler started the rally for LYAA Rock Hounds with a single. A single by John then moved Tyler from first to third. #9 singled, plating Tyler. LYAA Rock Hounds pushed more runs across when John scored on a fielder's choice.

The Cubs didn't relinquish the lead after scoring three runs in the first inning when they scored on an RBI double by Walker and a two-run triple by Andrew M.

The Cubs added five more runs in the bottom of the second. Cade kicked things off with a two-run home run, scoring Jacob. That was followed up by Gabriel's single, bringing home Russell.

Five LYAA Rock Hounds runs crossed the plate in the top half of the third, making the score 8-7. A solo home run by John, a solo home run by #9, a two-run home run by Lathon, and an RBI triple by Mathew sparked LYAA Rock Hounds' rally. Tyler struck out to end the LYAA Rock Hounds threat.

The Cubs tacked on another three runs in the third. The inning got off to a hot start when Russell singled, scoring Cade. That was followed up by Gabriel's two-run blast, plating Andrew B.

One run in the top of the fourth helped LYAA Rock Hounds close its deficit to 12-8. An RBI single by Bryton fueled LYAA Rock Hounds' comeback. LYAA Rock Hounds' Trace grounded out to end the ballgame.
