Parents, this might be the biggest mistake you’re making in your kid’s baseball development. ⚾️
You don’t need to coach them after every game.
You don’t need to break down every at-bat.
You don’t need to tell them what they did wrong.
Sometimes, the best thing you can give your athlete is space to process the game on their own.
Let their coaches coach.
Let your child experience failure.
And when they get in the car after a tough game, try asking:
“Did you have fun?”
Not, “How many hits did you get?”
Because if you want your kid to excel long-term, your job isn’t to become another coach.
Your job is to make sure they still love playing when the results aren’t going their way.
