2021.08.13 Regatta/Calcutta

We finally got wind! After only two postponements, there was enough wind to sail!

We had 16 sailors and we got in three races!

Regatta winners (Raw scores for three races)
First place - Kristen Falkenberg (5 pts)
Second place - Debbie Webber (9 pts)
Third place (tie) - Dana Hann (10 pts)
Gina Guilfoil (10 pts)

Calcutta winners (Scores adjusted for handicap, for three races)
First place (tie) - Melisa Burzinski (4 pts)
Deborah Davis (first year sailing!) (4 pts)
Third place (tie) - Diane Rasmussen (7 pts)
Cheryl Zwerenz (first year sailing!) (7 pts)
Fifth place - Susie Suits (8 pts)

Congrats to all the winners! And a special thanks to Captain Kristen for all her hard work this season managing week after week of cancellation decisions, always thinking of the safety of the sailors! She handled it all with patience and a sense of humor!

It was a bright, sunshiny day with light winds.
Fourteen sailors showed up and battled the lack of wind. There was no hiking out this week and lots of crowded mark roundings.
