August 21st through the 24th is Watercross and associated expanded camping. Please play short on hole 18 or skip. Also watch for traffic on the nature trail, it shall be a very busy place.

If you are playing, just let the ticket folks know, you are not permitted in the race area without a wristband, stick to the course please.

If interested, the fire department is hosting live music Friday and Saturday night, no cover charge, feel free to stop by, also a ridiculously large bonfire and marshmallows. Watercross is pretty cool if you haven't heard of it before, a day pass is $20 to check out the races. You can't beat snowmobiles on a lake racing.

Lots going on in Lake Linden, even a new Pickleball court soon.

It is Water Cross weekend in Lake Linden. Lake Linden Disc Golf Course is open, but Tee 1 is inaccessible, play very short or take par and skip please.

Please stay on the course, other areas of the Beach and Campground do require a wristband and paid entry.

If you have spare time this week and like shovels and rakes, each new Tee Pad needs some loving and leveling. The grade should be level with the Tee Pad and the foot or so around each pad does need attention. There is also still some help with brush removal needed around the course.

We appreciate all the help and support and thank you's we have gotten this month. Many hands make light work!

First day with the new Tee Pads open for business. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, lots of traffic today.

LLVFD is setting up for this weekend IWA Water Cross, the stakes are markings for them, not the course.

Concrete is in, not ready for play yet, but looking great. New barrel trash cans at Tee's 2, 5, 8, 11, and 14.

Things are coming together quickly.

08/11/2024

All old tee pads and signs removed and graded back to level. Tunnel Long hole on 6 is graded roughly but should now be free of tree roots and debris. Tree roots from all other new tees cleared.

Please use caution until final tees and grading is done, but enjoy the new baskets. Tees and then signage soon!

Big thanks to the Village of Lake Linden for the equipment and Ron Williamson for running the backhoe all weekend for us all.

All new baskets up. UDisk app has an updated course for shorts and longs that is accurate. New tees going in this month, landscaping for this starting this weekend. Please use the app for now, signage will take a little bit for design now that course is finalized.

Great quick work day today. Drew and Jason finished moving all 18 original baskets and setting the sleeves on the new "longs" baskets. Also took the first quote for the new tee pads. This week should see all new baskets installed and the course laid out on UDisk.

Thanks to all who came out Sunday to help with baskets and brush clearing at the Lake Linden Disc Golf Course.

We accomplished a lot, and should have the final 36 basket, long and shorts, layout done for this upcoming weekend.

If you have time to give this weekend give Jason a text at 370-3515. There will be something that needs done in your freetime, like opening the new baskets or setting them in already filled sleeves.

Many hands make light work.

Volunteers needed Sunday August 4th at 10 am. We will be installing the new baskets and moving a few others around for the redesign. All help and skill levels needed.

If you can make it please text Jason at 370-3515. If you want to help out, let me know, we can work around your schedule.

This will be a complete redesign and overhaul of the entire course this summer, great things are coming this year.

New course coming soon, work starting on the 28th. Baskets just arrived and will start going in next weekend with a course redesign. Big thanks to the Lake Linden Downtown Development Authority for funding the Baskets and Tee Pads. The redesign looks great from Drew at Station Street Discs, he is managing the course work and the design. We are going to be looking for volunteers for next weekend, Sunday at 10am.

With regret we must announce the 4 day temporary closure of the Lake Linden Disc Golf Course. Repairs to an issue at the Torch Lake Sewage Authority facility are underway and an ETA is Monday evening. All vehicle traffic into the camp and nature trail access is blocked.
