THE UNOFFICIAL MEMORIAL SITE AT THE TOP OF THE UNAL TRAIL SURVIVED THE FRENCH FIRE!!! IT IS NOTHING SHORT OF A MIRACLE! My husbands little tree is perfect!
The fire burned all around it and I imagine the trail is damaged in many areas, but the top is perfect!!!!
I accessed it (🤫) by a fire road, the trail is still too dangerous and I'm sure is closed by the Forestry Dept, but they are working to clear the dangerous trees.

Hello I am Zoe. I will be leading some hikes on Thursday and Saturday. Next week I will be out of town so my first hike will be on Thursday the 19th. I am trying to decide where to go. It depends on the temp. I am interested in everyone’s hiking level to try and pick some good trails. Thank you

Hello everyone! Well this has been a very busy summer for me! One of my trips was to Tennessee to visit friends and I fell in love with North East Tennessee!!! So, I am putting my house up for sale and looking for a home there.
With that being said, we will need someone else to take over the KRV Local Hikers! Let me know if you are interested or have any questions. I would hate for this group to dissolve. Maybe a couple of you could take it over, it's really not difficult.
It's been so much fun hiking and getting to know all of you who have hiked with me! On to many new trails in Tennessee!!!!

FYI: I am not able to lead hikes this week or next, however, if anyone else would like to lead a hike I will post it for you.
Starting June 17 we will be hiking at 8:30 a.m. to try and beat the heat. There will be more weeks during the summer that I will be unable to lead due to vacations. So, I am sure that others would appreciate someone else stepping up and leading.
It's not hard, you just have to make a commitment 😉😁👩‍🦯👨‍🦯
