NEVER FORGET! I remember exactly where I was and my thoughts as I watched 9/11 unfold. On the early morning in California, I was getting ready to go on-duty at Redondo Beach Fire Dept. as I watched the news of the horrific terrorist attack. As I watched in disbelief, reality struck hard. I remember saying to myself as I watched the airplane hit the first tower, "We are going to loose a lot of Firefighters today". I retired after 31 years as a Firefighter and few things cause me to cry, which I can remember all too well. 9/11 is still a painful remembrance. With so much more to say, I will end here saying, WE CAN NEVER FORGET those that died in the three 9/11 locations. The 343 hero's who went in when everyone else was trying to leave, the passengers on Flight 93 that stormed the hijackers to save countless lives in Washington DC, and the 2,977 victims of the 9/11 terrorist attack.
