Still after the lake trout, catching really good numbers with some big ones in the mix, with some days producing mostly larger fish. Today was a day for bigger lakers, here's Alex with the first fish of the morning; they were biting steadily after a slow start.

Another healthy laker from last week that measured over 28", also released. There is a lot of forage this year, especially rainbow smelt, and the trout are feeding well.

Haven't been posting much lately but we have been staying busy with the lake trout and bass, not taking as many pictures with it having been so hot. Trout numbers have been really good and occasionally we hook into a good sized one. Gabe did a great job landing this big fish from deep water on our light tackle with 6 pound test line; just under 30" and very thick, released to spawn and grow bigger.

What a lunker for Nate that bit last night just after sundown as we were drifting: 22" and almost 6lbs on my hand scale....

What a lunker for Nate that bit last night just after sundown as we were drifting: 22" and almost 6lbs on my hand scale. Great fish and a great fight on light tackle with 6-pound test line, released to be caught again. Even better is the fact he is the son of a good friend of mine that I have known since we were kids... he's getting married soon, too.
