Public Notice: Controlled Burn at Big Foot Beach State Park

The Wisconsin DNR will be conducting a controlled burn at Big Foot Beach State Park today. These burns are carefully planned and monitored to help maintain the health of the park’s ecosystem by reducing invasive species and promoting native plant growth.

You may see smoke in the area, but there is no cause for alarm. Please avoid the burn areas and follow any posted signs or instructions from park officials.

If you have any concerns, you can contact the DNR for more information.

12 month stickers start in 2025!

Did you hear? Wisconsin state park and forest vehicle admission passes are now good for 12 months!

This means that instead of expiring on Dec. 31 each year, passes will be valid for a full 12 months after purchase. Vehicle admission passes purchased this December will be valid through Jan. 31, 2026.
