Welcome to NorthShore Sports Club. At NSSC, we share a common philosophy: repetition builds confidence, and confidence builds strength. We believe in controlling what can be controlled, and training for contingencies. A prepared mind can evaluated with more clarity, adapt more efficiently, and overcome with resolute confidence. NSSC is redefining the sports shooting experience. We have the most so

phisticated indoor range and training facility in Illinois. By focusing on education and safety we are able to create a relaxed club environment to foster confidence and community. NorthShore Sports Club is owned and operated by NorthShore families. A majority of the construction is being completed by local businesses; and we intend to market our facility to our community. At the heart of our philosophy is our responsibility to our community and the development of trust. Supporting local business is just the first step to developing this trust and credibility within our community. We all have a responsibility to serve the community we have raise our families in; a safe home is a foundation for everything. Before we formed NSSC and started this journey we had to ask ourselves one important question:

WHY? This is the same Socratic Method and process any small business owner goes through and the answer is always the same:

DEMAND? NorthShore Sports Club was established due to an existing and prolific demand for our services. The Second Amendment "the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed," has given all law abiding people the ability to own fi****ms... but what then? When polling our community we found that over fifty thousand homes, in a twelve mile radius, owned at least one firearm. We also discovered it was convenience that prevented these same people in our community from training and educating themselves to safely use, clean, and store their fi****ms. But is convenience enough? Another pillar of our philosophy is a social conscience. Being convenient is good, but being relevant is better. Offering not only a facility to train and educate those in our community, but also open our doors to those that have sworn to protect our communities.

If you are looking for a class to help you get to the next level and that will help you overcome shooting obstacles, we have 2 Pistol Mastery classes happening this weekend. There is nothing out there like this curriculum, this is a data dump of information that you can cherry pick what is important to you to work on until mastery!

Curriculum,
Draw and grip at speed appendix and OWB
Path of the draw
Trigger control at speed
Stop over confirming sights
Much deeper understanding of grip and pressures
90/10
Tension > Anticipation
Standards
4 different trigger pulls
Predictive and reactive shooting
Many other things

Here is a recent review from a Competiton B Level shooter about Pistol Mastery,

Ended up taking this class last minute and was very surprised at how much was included. If you are serious about getting faster, refining your technique from grip, sights, or holster than look no further! I shoot competitively at a somewhat high level and most classes don't really give me any insight into doing that faster - this was the exact opposite. Not only did I catch some grip help, but he also shaved .5 off of my concealed AIWB draw (hit my fastest alpha @ 1.01). There is a ton of information in a short time, I'd recommend taking notes or recording the classroom portion which then leads into a very focused range session. Absolutely loved this class and its format. Would 100% take this again after some more AIWB draw practice, the mastery patch is no joke!

Pros:
-Awesome instructor able to assist any level of shooter (I'd come with at least a basic understanding of firearm handling and holster usage to get the most out of the time).
-Format was easy to digest. You can tell right from the get go that Chad has a ton of practical knowledge and did a very good job of watering it down to a very simple level.
-Class size is small so you get a ton of 1:1 work and Chad loves answering any questions no matter how trivial or simple you think they are (most of the time they aren't).
-The egos are left at the door! Speaks volumes to learn from an instructor that tells you right off the bat that some things will work for you and make sense and others just may not. Most times instructors try to force their particular technique or style which doesn't work for everyone.

Cons:
-None, seriously - if you are already reading this just sign up already! It is very much worth it.

Some things to call out:
-Potentially high round count. This isn't a negative for me, but for a 3 hour class prepare to shoot off at least 250-300 rounds at the lowest. I'd suggest bringing more toward 500, BUT Chad can absolutely work with whatever you bring.
-Tons of information. To really get the most out of this class, make sure you record or take good notes. Some topics may not make a ton of sense at whatever level you are, but things will eventually 'click' as you progress in your shooting career. This is a class I will be referring back to frequently.
-May want to bring a shot timer, not required and Chad was nice enough to run us or just hand over the timer too! I love data and metrics and this helped me more than just get a feeling of how fast I was going. It will also help you prep for the mastery patch challenge at the end.
-Come with an open mind, especially if you are a seasoned shooter or competitor. You will find a bunch of things to try or work out.

Would love to see the next iteration of this course or a long format and I'm sure I'll be taking more training with Chad in the future!
