Girls swimming adds a win to their record after a strong showing last night in a dual match against Wheeling! The Caxys put up 90 points to the host’s 46 and finished in first in nearly every event of the meet: 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle, 50 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 100 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, and 400 freestyle relay.

Boys cross country left their competition in the dust at last night’s LFA Open! The team put on a dominant display in their home opener, finishing in first place with a resounding 18 points and sweeping the podium.

Girls cross country made their mark on the course last night in their home opener! Abbey ’28 led the pack at the LFA Open, winning the race in a time of 21:15.66, followed closely behind by teammate Maiko ’28, who finished in third place at 23:59.12. The team finished in an impressive second place overall with 38 points, falling behind first-place Willows by just one point.

The girls tennis team was busy stacking wins over Labor Day Weekend as the Caxys took first place at the Cougar Classic hosted by Vernon Hills. LFA won two of three doubles flights with everyone finishing in the top 3.

Boys Varsity Soccer sits at 1-1 following their opening games, putting up an impressive 4-0 win over ISL conference opponent Francis Parker on Friday that saw Adrian ’28 sink all four goals and Gio ’27 hold down the shutout from the box. LFA opened the season with a fifth-place finish out of 19 teams at the Lake County Invitational. The Caxys were led by Veer ’29 who finished second overall with an impressive round of 73 (+1) and was joined by Fitz ’27 with top-15 medalist honors.
