Sigue la Clave We bring a passionate & uniquely musical approach to all kinds of salsa, On1, On2, rueda de casino, plus son, bachata, merengue & cha-cha.

Group classes Thursdays thru Sundays, plus privates & semi-privates by appointment. As a dance instructor, choreographer, percussionist and DJ, Kelly has been joyfully sharing the rich traditions of Latin dance—street salsa/mambo, bachata, merengue, cha-cha, rueda de casino—for 25 years. Drawing from lengthy travels and training in the salsa hotspots of Cuba, Puerto Rico and Colombia (and New York

, L.A., and Miami, closer to home), he brings a uniquely musical perspective and decades of experience to every class. Conveying a deep respect for the dance and the jubilant music that moves it, Kelly gently helps new and experienced dancers to hone the skills and attitudes that insinuate them into the playful, flowing moment. With his unique approach of supportive technique, partner connection, and rhythmical responsiveness at salsa congresses, festivals, parties & corporate events, he points his students toward the exquisite experience of synergy on the social dance floor. Whether in group or private classes, he is eager to share his love of Latin dance with YOU.

Celebrating what makes salsa salsa, this class gets you moving to the INSTRUMENTS & RHYTHMS. Learn to recognize rhythm shifts into son, rumba, pachanga, danzon, cumbia, pilon y mas - & use your rhythm guides- conga, bass & mambo bell - to always keep you in the groove!

SALSA HOUSE PARTY 9:00 – midnight
Share a night of dancing & socializing in the casual, convivial - & presently puppy-ful - atmosphere of our home! On tap: timba, mambo, son, salsa romantica, bachata, pachanga, merengue, cha-cha-cha, boogaloo--ALL THE THINGS! No need to bring drinks or snacks - we'll have lots!. We ask $20 donation for class (w/ social), or $10 social only.

Beginning Salsa I-II (On1) Thursdays 7:00-8:30

This class focosus on the FUNdamentals of salsa: 1) great technique in basics, turns & flow of combinations
2) a solid foundation in the music
3) how to be a FUN dependable partner in the dance.

1/23-2/27 (6 weeks $150)

RUEDA, SON & SALSA S U N D A Y S

Intermed Salsa on1, On2, Son. 10:30-noon
Jan 26 - Mar 2 (6-weeks $150)

Learn to navigate easily and seamlessly between these various styles of salsa and its origin in son. This class will demystify the divide between on1 and on2 and provide you a great foundation to go with changes in the music. We'll expand our understanding still further into cha-cha-cha, rumba guaguanco, mambo and pachanga.

Jan 26 - Mar 2 (6-weeks $150)

Imagine adding to the fun of Cuban salsa (casino) a circle of others grooving with you: a community playing together to high-energy Cuban salsa (timba) music. This is the essence of RUEDA DE CASINO that expands your salsa slot, & style. A blast to do with friends, & a great way to make them. (Salsa experience needed.)

M U S I C A L I T Y First Fridays 8:00 - 9:00
Feb 1 & Mar 7 ($20, includes social)

Part of our First Friday parties, in the class that kicks it off we explore how to flow with the shifting rhythms & energies of salsa songs. Guided by clave, bass, conga & piano & the wholesale shifts including rumba & son, pachanga, mambo cumbia, samba--& more!--we learn to respect & dance the actual RHYTHMS, the real ACTION bursting from salsa songs.
