Built in 1993, The Diamond's original existing seating bowl consisted of approximately 6,200 of one type of seat, with visually-compromised wheelchair seating along the Main Concourse. Citing a need for a greater variety of seating types, group areas, improved wheelchair viewing angles, casual dining and impromptu gathering, the Lake Elsinore Storm had a vision for creating a series of "neighborhoods" throughout the seating bowl.

The 2017 Seating Bowl Improvements provide:

(380) Premium padded seats behind home plate
(158) High-top seats behind home plate
(28) 4-Top group seats
(6) Flexible group seating boxes
(50)Wheelchair seats, with improved sightlines
Standing room drink rails along the Main Concourse
Improved seating bowl circulation
Total seat replacement within the seating bowl

Paying tribute to San Diego's rich baseball history, the Padres Hall of Fame features an interpretive timeline highlighting key pieces of historic memorabilia, punctuated with streaming video content, and culminating at an interactive, wrap-around, user-controlled immersive theater.

A series of free-standing, internally illuminated player panels honor the players, coaches and executives who have contributed to the organization's growth and success since San Diego broke into the major leagues in 1969, while an all-time leader board highlights the Padres statistical hitting and pitching career leaders.

Designed to evoke San Diego's iconic piers, the Craft Pier features a large boardwalk, split rail guardrails, weathered pilings, a surf board pit, and a beach area sand lot for kids and the young at heart.
