Today marks 25 years since the attacks of September 11, 2001. We remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who showed incredible courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Though a quarter century has passed, we will never forget the unity, resilience, and strength that emerged during one of our nation's darkest days. Honor, remembrance, and gratitude. 🇺🇸

5 years ago today, we lost our namesake coach, Bill Hicks.

Bill's larger-than-life personality, his candidness, and his deep love for his players left a mark on this program that will never fade. He gave everything to the advancement of this sport, and we are forever grateful. His legacy continues to shine brightly, keeping this organization thriving and growing.

Gone but never forgotten. We miss you coach Bill.

Gone too soon, but never forgotten.

Today, as we mark 1 year since you've been gone. We come together in your memory and remember what a great husband, father, family member, friend and coach you were.

Bill, the love, loyalty and respect you have for your Firecrackers players and the greater sport of softball exemplifies why you mean so much to us all. You touched so many lives in the sport and helped so many young ladies achieve their dreams of making it to the collegiate level. Thank you for all you did and continue doing to this day.

Your legacy is not lost, it has only thrived in the past year. The philosophies you instilled your coaching staff are still showing up on the field today and will continue on tomorrow. Love you big guy, keep smiling down on all of us.

How has Bill's legacy impacted you? Post a pic or leave a comment. Let's let his family know how much we care and miss him by remembering how we were rewarded by knowing him or of him.
