PSA- The group has experienced a lot of theft as of late and it’s not one field in particular. We spend thousands on our gear let’s make sure when we go out to play that we secure our stuff in the car or have someone watching over our stuff. If you are playing with a group and it’s time to play and someone leaves something valuable, do them a solid and let them know it’s out or if they aren’t around, skip that round of play and watch over the stuff. You may miss out on some play but it’s better than your friend losing a $2500 build.

Our player of the week is Hoonie aka Tim Cho!

I am a Marine veteran, so playing ai***ft with that kind of mindset comes naturally as I'm cautiously aware of my surroundings and don't make unnecessary actions. I've been playing ai***ft right after I was honorably discharged since 2015. My home field used to be Camp Pendleton and the once-great Mr. Paintball. Now I normally play at Code Red and SCVillage for Tactical League.

For my loadout this year I decided to go light and fast for my style of gameplay.
Primary Weapon: CA KAA Stoner 96 "Stoni"
Secondary: KJW KP-01 GBB Pistol
Head: Cheap fast helmet that I replaced the stock padding with a buckle adjust suspension retention system that was $20. I also have a Earmor headset, ExFog system, GoPro hero, and an emergency light system.
Gear: M81 woodland BDU and Tacticon Armament light plate carrier, with Onetigris and Idogear pouches. Unknown belt system with a velcro internal belt. My footwear is Smith & Wesson combat boots.

Loadout of the Week is Christopher Manansala's Weekend Wood Warrior!
This is a very basic woods loadout featuring mostly things that I have used in ai***ft for over five years. I wanted to showcase this as a benchmark to show the cost of just basic equipment for wood type of play. For new players, the costs that are shown may give you an idea of what it may take to start. It doesn’t have to be this expensive, but I urge to find things that will help cut costs. The important thing is to get out there and play with what you have and have fun. In the 10+ years of ai***fting, this is by far the best bang for buck load out that has stood test of time. I challenge anyone to beat my budget (retail-wise) with gear that has been put through the grinder.

Highlights:
-Cyma AK Sports Contractor, being reliable and perfect for wood engagements typically at 80-100 ft.
-Army engineer’s utility belt with utility pouches that clip in to close. It helps knowing mags are secure, especially big chonky AK ones. I’ve had chest rigs before and lost mags with it and find it annoying to maintain and clean after being prone or hitting the dirt.
-OD Green BDU helps blend into wood environment. The shirt and pants are rugged to not pierce through branches and shrubs.
-I use volleyball kneepads under my pants. I’ve used all kinds of combat kneepads and as well as Emerson padded knee pants. This is by far the best way to protect your knees in play without sacrificing mobility.
-For gloves, I have one padded fingerless on my dominant hand to be able to be nimble for the reload and one full glove on non-dominant hand which I use to push away shrub and dense environments.
