Corps officials are hosting the event from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., to allow people to get a behind-the-scenes view of the site while also getting a better understanding of what the staff do to ensure safe, reliable navigation.

Welcoming all our guests who plan to come Sailing for the annual Sail for leukemia fundraiser at Lake City Yacht club.

Beware as high temperatures are expected over the weekend so bring plenty of liquids to drink, your sunblock and hats.

The 28th Annual Sailing 4 Leukemia (S4L) event is scheduled to take place this Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the last sail of the day departing at 3 p.m., at the Lake City Marina.

A thick pall of smoke covered Lake Pepin this morning limiting visibility and the poor air quality continues.

Other than Oregon we have the worst air quality in the US at the moment.

Not good outdoor boating activities.

This map shows fine particle pollution (PM2.5) from wildfires and other sources. It provides a public resource of information to best prepare and manage wildfire season. Developed in a joint partnership between the EPA and USFS.

The members of LCYC Yacht Club extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, colleagues, and all those affected by the tragic boating accident on Lake Pepin last weekend. Our thoughts are with the loved ones of those who lost their lives.

We are sincerely grateful to the first responders, law enforcement agencies, search and rescue teams, and all who dedicated themselves to the recovery efforts under extraordinarily difficult circumstances.

As lovers of boating on Lake Pepin, this has hit us especially hard as we know there are always risks. We are committed to promoting safety on the water and will work to improve boating conditions for all boaters.
