Registration for our 2026 Pop Warner Football & Cheer season has opened! Registration is for students who will be entering the 3rd-6th grades for the Fall 2026 school year. Flyers were sent home in Friday folders yesterday, the online registration link attached to this post will remain open until August 1st. There will be NO late registrations accepted. Please make sure you complete your online registration early, ask any questions you may have and share with individuals you know who are looking to play football and/or cheer for our upcoming season!

Dates to remember;

-Online registration 5/22-8/1
-Football & Cheer Camp: July 27th & 28th - 6:00-7:30 p.m.
-Football Conditioning begins the week of 8/10
-Football Practice begins the week of 8/17

Detroit Lions Youth Football is returning to Lake City this summer! This camp is a great opportunity for kids to learn more about football, being a good leader, as well as focusing on character development.

It is hard to believe that our 2025 Pop Warner season has come to an end! We had a great year with our 3 football teams & cheer squads. We are had lots of familiar returning faces, as well as some new ones!

This year our teams finished their seasons as follows;

JV Red - 1-5
JV Black - 3-1-2
PW - 4-2

Our cheer teams learned new cheers, performed stunts, and were complimented all year long on their cheering ability!

As a reminder we are having our end of the year party tomorrow, 10/13, for our athletes, from 5:00-6:30, at the elementary cafetorium. Please make sure you have your athlete bring all of their equipment/uniform pieces and have everything washed.

As a reminder, tomorrow, 10/10 is youth night at the varsity football game! Kids should be at the field no later than 6:30 - we will all meet by our equipment room (where we weigh-in at home games at the end of the concession stand). The kids will be lined up near the tunnel that the varsity players run out of…. For best pictures you’ll want to be by the concession stand. There will be no parents allowed on the field. Coaches will es**rt players and cheerleaders on the field at approximately 6:45 and then will bring them off the field after the national anthem. You will need to pick your child up at the same location we are meeting at immediately following the national anthem. Please dress your kids appropriately for the weather.

Last games of the season are on Saturday!

Monday, 10/13, is our end of year pizza party & equipment turn-in. This will be from 5:00-6:30 at the elementary. Kids can be dropped off at the elementary Cafetorium at 5:00 and picked up in the same location at 6:30. Football players need to bring their game & practice jerseys, pants, and all equipment. Everything should be washed prior to being turned in. Cheerleaders should bring all pieces of their uniform, washed as well.

Pop Warner Families - Manton Pop Warner Football and Cheer reached out to share that they are having a “Pink Out” day while they are hosting games on October 11th! They would love to have kids, parents and fans show support for breast cancer awareness month. If your child is playing and/or cheering in Manton on October 11th please show your support if able!

***The game ends in a tie, 6-6. Good job, JV Black!***

JV Red will battle it out in Cadillac today at 11:30 against Manton.
**JV Red takes a loss, 34-14, to the Rangers**

PW takes on the Wildcats of Evart, in McBain, at 12:00.
