Okay everyone, I'd like your input. As you may know, Dakota Pier LLC is becoming more active in the lakefront living business again, and my goal is two-fold:
1. Solve problems that we all face with waterfront living, including cabins, docks, lifts, water toys, accessories, service, hot tubs, mowing, shore maintenance, etc. 2. Develop a profitable and sustainable business that I can pass on to someone who wants to get into the business but currently lacks the ability for whatever reason. I want this a long term solution.
What are the things you feel need to be addressed regarding waterfront living? This is an open dialogue to vent frustrations, make suggestions, and share ideas. Well, I missed it on Sunday but it is never too late to say Happy women's day ! Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience and grace of women everywhere. May you continue to inspire lead and shine in everything you do. Your contributions made the world a better place. I wish you a day filled with appreciation, joy, and empowerment!
I am surrounded by strong and intelligent women in my family and a lot of my friendships, and there is much I would struggle doing if it weren’t for them!
Carry on you freaking amazing rays of sunshine and occasional tornadoes!

Thank you for all of the positive comments about the Roy Lake Fireworks show!
I could not, well…I would not do it without the family and friends that graciously donated their time and/or funds towards the fireworks show!!!
This show takes countless hours to plan, install and clean up. The trailers, pontoons, mortar racks and firing equipment had to be purchased and there are several thousand worth of fireworks purchased every year.
If you enjoy the fireworks show and want to donate to this years or future shows, donations can be given directly to Brad or Paula Heitmann.
The more you give, the more can be ordered for next year's show. The order is placed in the fall in order to obtain the best discount, which always goes toward more products for the show, so donate now while the beauty and excitement is still fresh in your mind!
I also would like to hear your favorites as we do this show for everyone’s enjoyment!

Still a little to do for fireworks tomorrow but we have battened down the hatches on the 4 pontoons and used the sails for tarp covers😂 to prepare for bad weather…
We are really excited and expecting a good show tomorrow!!

RECEIVED UPDATE FROM NWS AND DUE TO THE EXPECTATION OF STRONG WINDS AND HEAVY RAINS ON FRIDAY JULY 4th WE HAVE DECIDED TO POSTPONE OUR ROY LAKE FIREWORKS UNTIL SATURDAY JULY 5th!!!
Please notify others. Sorry but we just cannot risk injury or damage if the storm hits early!

We’re excited to announce that it’s that time of year again.
Our wonderful country provides us the ability to enjoy freedom, family, fun, and fireworks. Although last year’s thunderstorms caused a delay, we persevered.
Dakota Pier, llc / Ooh Aah Pyro, along with some gracious family and neighbors, are hosting a fireworks display over Roy Lake on Friday, July 4th at dusk.
The rain date is scheduled for the following evening.
This year’s display will feature some new effects, making it a unique experience.

I am pleased to provide a progress report and health update since my resignation in January 2025.
I have discontinued my medication for muscle and nerve pain, my breathing issues are gone and my doctor is gradually reducing my blood pressure medication due to consistently low readings since late February/early March. Additionally, I have achieved a weight loss of an additional 2 pounds, totaling 14-15 pounds, and have not experienced another acute pancreatitis attack in several months.
While I still encounter typical muscle aches and stiffness and some discomfort stemming from a previous lower back injury, I am thrilled by my progress.
My experience serves as a testament to the importance of acknowledging the detrimental effects of toxic environments on one's health, effectively managing stress, and prioritizing self-care. Through prayer, stress reduction, minor lifestyle changes, and family support, I have transformed from experiencing undiagnosable, misdiagnosed, and untreatable conditions to achieving improved health.
I am not advocating for everyone to resign from their jobs, but rather encouraging individuals to evaluate their situations and implement necessary adjustments to prioritize their health, recognizing that one's job can be replaced, whereas one's health, once compromised, may not be restorable.
I am considering a couple jobs that offer some flexibility and we are revitalizing a previous part-time business (Dakota Pier, LLC), we have the VRBO rental (Smore Sunsets) and are enjoying the extra time with family, friends and pyrotechnics!
Still very busy but in a much healthier way!

Amidst all the chaos in the World right now, we do not want to forget to take time for family! God bless all of those Dads that are away from their families making a living or serving our country and communities.

I have been inundated with phone calls and text messages inquiring about my plans for lift and dock sales, repairs, installations, and removals. To answer these queries, I am presently engaged in selling, repairing, and welding lifts and docks as needed, and I am assessing the feasibility of providing installation and removal services and w**d removal to meet a pressing need in the Roy Lake, Clear Lake, Four Mile, and Nine Mile area.
