⚡️⚡️⚡️Flag football fact: Flag football was originally called "Touch and Tail" football.

The non-contact sport was invented in the early 1940s at Fort Meade military base in Maryland during World War II. American soldiers developed it as a safer, recreational version of tackle football so they could stay in shape and enjoy the camaraderie of the sport without suffering injuries. Players would tuck handkerchiefs or pieces of cloth into the back of their belts, and a "tackle" was made by pulling the cloth (or "tail") away from the ball carrier. The name "Touch and Tail" was eventually shortened to "flag football" after the war as it gained popularity in parks and on college campuses across the United States.

Our EBA Lady Flames will be competing in the Selfmade Summer Underdawg Elite Tournament in Belleview at the Sports Complex This Saturday July 18th with the first game starting at approximately 3:30p on Field 6. There will be a total of 3 games….We would love to see you there ….
