We teach a competition style of Judo which can also be used as a formidable method of self-defense.

The amazing kids in my Fundamentals class will recognize this speech. Non-literal translation: Steering wheel motion. Sleeve hand goes to your belt/hip. Upper hand goes to your shoulder (her metaphor = like you’re answering a phone 🤣)

This past weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting some of the young ladies from Girl Scout troop 2362 in Saint Charles. The girls were working on their Fair Play badge, which requires them to learn about a new sport. A big thank you to two of our young judokas, who also happen to be Girl Scouts themselves, Mae and Elena. And a big thank you to Cameron for helping ask well!
