We are excited Covid restrictions are gone and teal season is around the corner. We are currently booking hunts at henningsguideservice.com. We are booking at our two locations—Thornwell and Choupique. Drive-ups and overnight stays at both lodges are still available. Our Thornwell location can accommodate 14 hunters (7 bedrooms with 2 queens and private baths). The Choupique location sleeps 8 hunters (7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms). Henning’s Guide Service announces the opening of Choupique Hunting Lodge. Located on 1,200 acres of moist-soil managed property for waterfowl habitat, this lodge consists of seven bedrooms, six baths, large gathering room with fireplace, game room with pool table, outdoor barbecue house, etc. Choosing our eastern location, Thornwell Oaks Hunting Lodge, or our western location at Choupique offers hunters a variety of hunting options. The ducks and geese are showing up in big numbers. We have a couple days open at the lodge. We can sleep up to 14 people and also we can do drive up hunts. Give us a call or text if you want to shoot some birds, have an awesome experience at the lodge, and eat Dempsey’s amazing food.

Heavy spring and summer rains have made growing rice here at our Thornwell location particularly difficult. But seeing that the rice has begun to flower means that harvest is not far away, and teal season is soon to follow!
