On the photo on the left, I was a new trainer.
Doing all the wrong things.
Consuming yogurts, protein shakes, protein bars, doing weekly cheat meals, eating 6x a day.
Partying A LOT!
You know, all the normal bs we had always been taught.
I was working out 2x a day, doing lots of cardio.
I had visible abs, barely, but wasn't happy about where I was. I wanted to be SHREDDED but didn't understand what it really took.
I was trying to OUTWORK my consumption. Which as you can see, I wasn't very successful 🤣
Right around this time, was when the term "macros" hit the scene. I had recently gone to a physique competition, and a lil guy like me was on stage, SHREDDED AF.
I was like, I WANNA DO THIS! So I hired him, he gave me a plan. Macros. Workout plan. ( Both were terrible IMO today, but IT WORKED!)
I GOT SHREDDED AF in about 12 weeks.
Then over the years fine tuned it all.
Made the macros better, healthier, eliminated all processed foods.
Created my own style of dieting, training. Started implementing that on my clients, clients got shredded.
Everyone online started asking me "why are your clients so ripped, what are you doing?!"
So i wrote a book! Teaching my exact formula!
Which took me 3 years to write, beginning in 2013. I just did a 2024 update to it a few months ago. Because I've made the system even BETTER.
I now live lean year round, and have for a LONG time. Over a decade.
When it comes to melting bodyfat, to get lean and shredded, it's all about MACROS.
You have to DIAL them in, to create the calorie deficit required to burn bodyfat. And retain/build muscle.
Without dialing these in, you'll never get the body you want.
