Congrats to the Hawk Wrestling Freshman girls and boys today! We took🥇place and the kids wrestled their hearts out to secure this impressive finish!
⬇️
We want to thank coaches Pablo, Jarmie, and the other Hawk Alumni who came out to help the kids reach this pivotal victory today.
⬇️
We also want to thank Team moms and the other Hawk Parents who came in bright and early to help set up and man the snack bar, check ins and staging areas all day. It take a village and you parents are amazing!

HAWK GIRLS HAVE ARRIVED!

First official Varsity tournament in the books! We may not have the biggest numbers or the most experienced wrestlers. We don’t have any recruits or transfers. But we’ve got heart, determination and drive!

These almost all first year wrestlers stepped up big time and formed our first ever girls wrestling team and went out and competed this weekend, leaving it all on the mat!

We all realize we’ve got a ways to go, but these girls are here to work, make a name for themselves and build a legacy at LHHS!

We are so proud of each and every one of them!

Huge thank you to our coaching staff this weekend, team managers and all the girls who couldn’t wrestle but came to support! Also a shout out to our Captains Ashley for holding it down, Ri for the pre-tournament pep talk and Ash, we missed you!

We want to congratulate the LHHS Hawks Boys Wrestling Varsity and JV team for having a stellar showing at the South Torrance Invitational yesterday!
⬇️
These warriors were up before 5am and wrestled their hearts out until well past 9pm. We couldn’t be more proud of them.
⬇️
LHHS placed 9th place out of 30 schools who attended with roughly 24 boys per bracket!
⬇️
We had some solid 4th to 8th place finishes but we also recognize we still have plenty of work to do ahead of the season.

As always, thanks to coaches Brian and Pablo for all they do and to make the boys wrestling program the best In south OC!
