Congratulations Coach Monica!

For those who don’t know, Coach Monica has played a tremendous role in not only starting our Girls Wrestling Team, but getting it to where it is today! A mentor, role model and advocate for our wrestlers, she is a driving force within our Hawk community.

She will be heading to Mongolia for The International Sports Exchange to further expand her knowledge, continue to evolve as an mentor, coach and advocate for girls wrestling.

And then there were FOUR!!!!

Congratulations to all of our Hawk wrestlers who qualified for CIF, wrestled some tough opponents and made us all so proud!

This team continues to make a name for themselves with 12 wrestlers toeing the line this weekend vs only 5 last year. These athletes put their dedication and hard work on display this with some big wins and great sportsmanship.

We capped off the weekend with 4 Masters Qualifiers! Another record set by this up and coming team!

Congratulations to Alicia Serratos, Ash Gerlach, Tiffany Nguyen and Nelly Hernandez for advancing to Masters!

To our incredible teammates who’s season has come to an end, we are honored to have you as a part of this historical team. 2023/2024 wrestling season starts now!

Saddleback Valley Unified School District honors our Hawk Girls Wrestling team, recognizing their outstanding season!

The time is now. The leaders are here. The history of women’s wrestling is currently being written and this teams journey is front and center.

Our Hawks will be at San Dimas competing in CIF Individuals, this Friday and Saturday.

Each of our wrestlers who competed in League Finals qualified for CIF!

The Saddleback Valley Unified School District will be honoring our team this Thursday at the District Board Meeting!

It is such an honor to be recognized by the district for all we have accomplished!

The Board Meeting is open to the public and we’d like to invite our family and friends to join us in this honor.

The Board Meeting will be held at the SVUSD District Office beginning promptly at 6:00pm.

League Finals are here!

Our Hawks will be competing in League Finals on Friday, February 3 at Beckman High School. Wrestling begins at 2:30pm.

Big dreams and hard work came together for the Laguna Hills High School girls' varsity wrestling team Wednesday, when they competed in CIF finals in their first year as a team.

Laguna Hills Girls Wrestling has claimed the prestigious titles of this year’s Division II CIF Runner Up!!

What a season it has been for this team and they’re only getting started!

With the exception of 1 girl, this entire team is comprised of first and second year wrestlers. They are a young team with a lot of fight!

Last night they battled against the tenacious wrestlers of an 8 year established Ventura High School. Each and every one of our wrestlers represented this team to the fullest, giving it their all and leaving it all on the mat.

While they weren’t named CIF Dual Champions, they came out victorious with the title of CIF Runner Up.

Last night wasn’t about the wins or losses. Last night was about a much bigger picture in realizing their potential, building opportunity for future generations and creating a legacy here at Laguna Hills High School.

We are so proud of this team!!!

It takes a village and this team wouldn’t be where they are without the support of an amazing coaching staff, administration, team parents, family and friends. Thank you all for being a part of this journey.
