If vision drives decision… why is it often the last skill athletes train?

The swing gets coached.

The strength gets built.

The mechanics get repeated.

But before the body moves, the athlete has to see, process, and decide.

That is where performance starts.

Train how you see. Command how you perform.

VISION. DECISION. ACTION.

⚡️ In fastpitch, the game happens in milliseconds. You can't hit what your brain doesn't have time to process. SlowTheGameDown Vision Performance training connects your eyes to your bat.

👁️ Vision: Pick up the release point and track the spin instantly.
🧠 Decision: Recognize the pitch and location faster than ever.
💥 Action: Execute a confident, explosive swing.

Don't let the speed of the game dictate your performance. Train your eyes, rewire your brain, and crush the ball. 🥎🎯

Experience doesn’t go viral… it shows up when it matters.

25+ years in the trenches with athletes and first responders—training how they see, think, and respond under pressure.

Social media shows moments.
Experience builds consistency.

This isn’t about looking good on camera.
It’s about performing when the game speeds up and the stakes get real.

Train your eyes.
Lead your mind.
Control the moment.

🚨 Most athletes pass the test… and that’s the problem.

“Normal” vision isn’t the goal at high levels.
It’s the baseline.

Elite athletes can compensate so well they still test “normal” — even when something’s off.

But underneath:
⚠️ Slower tracking
⚠️ Delayed processing
⚠️ Increased injury risk

That’s where timing breaks down.
That’s where decisions get late.

And most people never look there.

If you’re only training mechanics…
you’re missing what actually drives performance.

👁️ Train the eyes.
🧠 Speed up the brain.
⚡ Let the body follow.

Most athletes are working hard…
but not always in the right order.

When the hands lead, you’re reacting.
When the eyes lead, you’re in control.

That small shift changes timing, confidence, and decision-making under pressure.

Train the system the right way—and everything speeds up without rushing.

You don’t play the game with your hands; you play it with your brain and your eyes. 🧠👀

Did you know the extraocular muscles have the highest nerve-to-fiber ratio in the human body? While your legs might have one nerve for every 1,000 fibers, your eyes have one for every 3 to 5.

That’s the difference between a blunt instrument and a surgical tool. That precision is what allows an elite QB to scan the secondary or a pro hitter to track the seams on a 98mph heater.

Precision isn't an accident. It's training.

In the early 90’s, through Orestes Destrade, Dr. Bill Harrison work made its way to Japan — into the clubhouse of the Seibu Lions during the 1992–1993 seasons.

Under Manager Tsutomu Mori, who fully embraced the process, this wasn’t theory… it was applied performance.

Working alongside elite players like:
Akiyama
Kiyohara
Katori
Ishige
Tsuji
Ito
Hirano

The focus was simple —
train the eyes to lead the mind and body… under real pressure.

That foundation is what became SlowTheGameDown.

Not new.
Not trendy.
Just proven.

Same mission.
Same standard.
Now… global.
